Why isn't there any humor books in the Black Library? They would own. Because currently all we have is serious fluff crap with the occasional joke.

Because that's not conducive to what 40k is these days? It used to be a lot sillier, but it's only gotten more and more grimdark as time goes on. GW wants it to be this way, so it's going to be this way. Ciaphas Cain is the closest you'll get.

Didn't there use to be cool Ork comic books about "Flyboyz" weren't they funny? I think novels featuring Orks would be a great opportunity for humor.

If you like humor that doesn't quite make you think before you laugh. /TG/ of 4chan is the place.

^^^^ I would never recommend going to any part of 4chan, ever. Most of the stuff there that people find funny comes up in the absolute garbage "40k humor lolz" threads that pop up here. They get closed for a reason.

Yeah Black library should re-issue it. Also I think Black library needs to make more novels from the non-imperial perspective.

Agreed. There is very little in the way of books for other races other than SM and IG.

Read the Cain novels if you can stand format writing, or try and find a copy of Deff Skwadron on ebay.

Not trying to advocate anything here, but try googling "deff skwadron". there are "facsimiles" floating around on the first page.

There won't ever be any humour books for 40K but there could be in WHFB.

I'm writing a load of fiction. My latest story starts here... This is the index of all the stories...

Why could there be humour in fantasy when it won't be in 40K?

If I am not in my room, is it still my room?

Because Fanatasy is comical. 40k is Grimdark.

Comical= Funny
Grimdark= Serious

How about the Imperial Uplifting Primer. That book is filled with humor about guard stuff. Like information about tau eating human babies and my favorite part is when they talk about hand to hand combat. Drop your weapon and fight with your hands or objects around you, NOTE if you are caught without you lasgun in your hand, you will be punished.

It's not straight up comedy, but the book is full of a lot of somewhat subversive humor. If you take everything at face value you probably won't find it too funny.

Yeah I guess so. Deff Skwadron is awesome, its told by a smartboy, an ork that has common sense. "there's a difference between being a smartgit and a smartboy"

I found the 40k comic Blood and Thunder to be funny its about a Tallarn IG officer who gets adopted as a pet by an Ork nob cause he thinks he a good luck charm. Unfortunately I was only able to read the first issue
