I was reading over my codex and contemplating to myself:
If you combine X amount of Infantry squads into a giant glob...

1. Do you need only a single sergeant to lead them?
2. Do you need only a single vox caster to re-roll orders?
3. Can you have X amount of special weapons for X squads that joined?
4. Do you need only a single commissar to gain the stubborn special rule for the entire glob?

Thank you

1: No, the "blobbing" is done at deployment, you have to buy the squads one by one during army building.
2: Yes, they are one unit.
3: Yes, the squads are bought one by one during army building, blobbed later.
4: Yes, they are one squad.

Hope that helps.

If I use -><- I'm not mocking you, it's a reflex from using the " silly" icon on every other forum.
However, if I use this -><- I might just mock you.

Not wanting to threadjack but this seems like another good question.

When you issue orders, the codex says the unit being issued the order(s) must pass a Ld check. Whose Ld do they use? I think it's the sergeant's but I keep on hearing about testing on Ld 7.

"Do not practice until you get it right, practice until you can not get it wrong." In other words, stop effing up.

A Ld check is tested on the squads highest Leadership. Which in the guardsmen's case can be 7 (No sarge), 8 (sarge) 9 (Commissar) or 10 (Creed+Kell)

The 7 you keep hearing about is probably Heavy Weapon squads..............

Another interesting question:

Is a blob of 5 squads 5 KP, or 1 KP?

Hmm, I assume it would be one, but... Gwar! You're needed in the frozen department!

1 KP as it is 1 unit. Very, very easy and the main reason for the blob rule.

"If you decide to form any squads into larger units, then they are of course treated as a single unit from that point."

I'd say: one unit, one kill point.

How many units is a Blob unit? 1.
