Hello one and all. You can call me Xyon. I've been in 'the hobby' since around the times of 3rd edition and Battle Fleet Gothic getting released. I've been on and off again many times since then. I have the small fleets of chaos and imperial from bfg, some eldar pirates, and some space marines. I started 40k when there was the "hunt for the fallen" events, since nobody was playing bfg. I liked the dark angels back then, but started a regular marine force, after which I started a dark angels force and have not considered abandoning them since, even through the changes that have made other marine dex's better or the crappy leaflet we had for a dex in 3rd. I also had a small khorn chaos army from the first 3rd edition chaos codex, I must have had around 1300 pts in HQ because of being able to spend 100 pts on each model in the command squad, what can I say, I didn't want to buy that many models for chaos, it was just a fling, having 10 guys with khorn axe and power fist, spikes and all the trimmings just seemed cool, and it was, so many attacks... I tried some tyranids when they got their 3rd edition codex too. When 6th edition warhammer came out, i got interested in that too. I got ravening hordes, and much to my dismay, I fell in love with the chaos dwarfs. I have yet to this day make an army for them, but its a dream of mine still. But I found a second army that I liked, the high elfs. I did not start collecting an army for them until their 6th edition book came out however. I was surprised that so many things changed since ravening hordes for their list though, like the lack of certain character mounts and heavy armor options for spearmen and seaguard. I also became interested in the orcs and goblins, I tried making a goblin army, but lacked the resources to do it the way I wanted.

So there in lies the story of my interests in the hobby, I have some poorly painted space marines, un-assembled tyranids and orcs and goblins, and other bits and bobs from specialist games like blood bowl lieing around. Today I have no income for new toys in the hobby, but I'm slowly working on a new deathwing army. And I have a reclamation project I'm planning on doing to strip and repaint and reassemble my older high elf, and space marine models. I hope that I can get a job soon, I want to save up for an airbrush, I've been watching some movies at awesomepaintjob and getting inspiration.
