Ive been back in the hobby for all of a month and my new ork army is expanding nicely but now its time to pick a theme for it and start focusing it a little. What I was wondering is what are my options keeping in mind I do intend to start hitting up so tourneys and I dont want to be easy meat.
I as toying with the idea of running heaps of truck boyz with a screening of bikes to insure they get to deploy there cargo of boyz+nob+pk but it seem most people prefer battlewagons or kan wall footslogger style amries are trucks just to squishy to be useful?

It sounds like you want a speed freaks army. If this is the way you go, bring 3-4 squads of trukk boys, 2-3 squads of bikes, and anything else that goes fast, Nob bikers or Gutsmek for the extra bikers perhaps.

I do Green tide. Its alot of fun and really intimidates my opponents. you completely overwhelm your opponent with sheer numbers. The only draw back is having to move 175 models each turn. lol

thanls for the help and yeah the main reason I wanted to go this route is moving 175 models every turn would just get tedious =)

The Wife runs a hybrid list; Looted Wagon with Boom gun; 3 20-Ork mobs; PK Warboss; 5 Nobz w/Painboy in a Trukk; 10 Boys w/PK Nob in a Trukk; 9-11 Bikers; 10 Lootas; 10 Burnas
It is a fairly murderous List without using all the latest Gimmick Meta; More Boyz than you could Shake a stick at and just enough vehicles/High Profile units that most enemies need to really choose their targets carefully.
