I'm trying to come up with lists for 1500 and 1750/1850 point ranges for the Blood Angels. I'd really like to use The Sanguinor, even though I know he's inefficient. I'm also trying to not Razorspam.

Here's the core of what I have so far:

The Sanguinor - 275
Librarian w/Jump Pack, Shield of Sanguinor, Unleash Rage - 125

2 Sanguinary Priests w/ Jump Packs - 150
5 Sanguinary Guard - 200

10 Assault Marines w/ PF, 2x Meltagun - 235
10 Assault Marines w/ PF, 2x Meltagun - 235



That only puts me at 1220. I'm really tempted to try and fit a Stormraven in, but that'd basically be the list at 1500. I don't think it'd survive long enough to be efficient anti-tank, not as the only vehicle on the list. Need some anti-tank, obviously, but also feel like I need more bodies.

Any advice?

I think some landspeeders/bikes with meltas would do good. in case the enemy is mounted on transports

Would 4xML Devs do the trick, do you think? I've never been fond of bikes for some reason, though speeders are an option. I've just never found them all that durable.

Or, changing it up slightly...

I think either the list you have with the 2 Baal preds is good or adding ML devs is a good idea too. MLs are never a bad investment, unless your dice hate you that day. You may want to consider Flamestorm Cannons for the Baals, YMMV but I find the flame storm cannons combined with Scout is a really potent weapon.

Wouldn't the assault cannons be better for transport popping?

And the question of how best to fill out the remaining 250/500 points for the 1500/1750 lists remains.

For the other 250 points I would add another Assault squad, for the 500 points I would throw in 2 ML dev squads to give you some Long Range firepower. AS far as the Baals go the armament is dependent upon your target. If it is for tank hunting then yes the ACs are better (I don't like this role btw) but if you use them like I do for MEQ hunting then the Str6 AP3 template is the way to go.

Libby Rides with termies in LRR as deathstar. Landspeeders hunt for vehicles. Assault marines mop up the rest.
