Sense this is for fun I'll leave most of the units alone.

However you need to pick the Lores of Magic when building a list.

I would also combine the 2 units of xbows to make a unit of 20 (so dropping 2 of them) give them a Banner and Musician and shields. That way you have a 3rd decent combat block.

By all means pick away at the units as I can refine the list. Just things like the dragon have to stay.

Also, 2 units of RBX's allow split targeting, as pretty as a 3rd block would look.

I would suggest that you consider dropping the blackguarrd unit and use the points on more xbows. Step up, T3 and bad armor mean that they aren't any better in combat that our warriors (which is sad). I would use the points on more xbows as you will want as many shots as possible, expand both blocks out to 20 strong.

I think a regular ward save would be better for the dragon lord than AES + MR. I would go with a Ward save and then some MR if you can.

I'm not sure if the Ruby Ring of Ruin is also worth the points. I would experiment with it and see if it is worth it.

Magic item loadouts are easy to play with. Already own the black guard so for now they will stay and I guess we'll see how they perform. I am always down for more RXB's though.

played 6 games over the weekend with dark elves (first time using them) and I have to agree on RXB blocks of 20. field them wide at first to shoot with, then when something gets close enough to charge you, swift reform and now you have a nice I5 unit with hatred. They beat bloodletters in combat (granted only 12 made it into combat). Also, getting guiding eye on a master could be useful.

I'd love to hear more about performance from units on these games you played. Would be helpful to my planning.
