I'm not good at introductions so I'll be brief and to the point.
I'm a 40K gamer. Though I don't find as much time as I like for the hobby, I'm trying to rectify that at the moment. Again. But I shouldn't be so negative.
My main army is an average sized Black Templar force. I'm a real sucker for the artwork and that image on the front of their codex just reached out to me. That and I love melee. Unfortunately, their win:loss ratio isn't too good. I haven't kept track well but it's gotta be about 1:3.That's wins to losses. Doesn't look so bad though when you consider I've only ever played 'em about 20-odd times. But that's a tangent and I shouldn't go near those, I'll be here all night.
My 'second army', which is kinda stretching the term, is a fledgling Blood Ravens gathering. I technically started them when AoBR came out. I painted up the Tactical squad from the boxed game as well as a Librarian and a Razorback and took them to a doubles tournament where we placed quite respectably but they've not seen a gameboard since 'cos they ain't a legal army. I've finally painted up the Dreadnought from the boxed game and I'm slowly putting together a Scout squad. Production has been slowed due to me labouring over my Telion/Cyrus conversion and then it got full-on halted for the best part of a year through work and laziness and a few other things. It's back on track now though and once I've figured out how to make the hair with green stuff he should be ready to paint. My goal is to recreate all the squad leaders from DoW2. That may be some time away though.
I also have some Wood Elves somewhere, waiting to have something done with them. I love their fluff and the whole ethos and their look and pretty much everything about them but the rules for WFB kinda... intimidated me. I knew I'd never be able to remember even half that stuff. Took me long enough to figure out 40K. As such, I've ended up focusing my limited attention span on my two Marine forces.
As for me, I'm gobby and opionated and often torn between being right and being polite. Not easy, particularly on the internet. And once I get going I don't seem to shut up. I said I'd be brief and I knew then I was probably lying. So hello. I hope I haven't already written myself off as a boring sod and here's to enjoying discussing the hobby with you all.
