I have noticed that there are a lot of good brands maybe even better then GW's paint. Formula P3, Vallejo Game Color, and even Army painter. Does anyone have any experience with Formula P3, Vallejo Game Color, or Army painter. I really don't want to invest in something I will regret. Thanks for your help.

Vallejo Game Color is excellent! The only caveat is they tend to separate in the bottles, so you need to shake them very well. Also buy a cheap pallete to mix and thin paint on. (Walmart, 50 cents)

Vallejo Game/Model Color as well as Reaper Paints are all awesome. Much better than Citadel Paints, in my opinion.

I use a lot of the Privateer stuff. It's richly pigmented and has great coverage, yet it's thinner than the current GW paints so better for display pieces.
Plus, they do lots of colours in a base shade and a highlight shade, so it's straightforward to highlight.

Vallejo is excellent. All my paints are slowly becoming that brand.

I'm not like them, but I can pretend.

GW does a few things rather well (love the washes!), but I love my VGC. I've heard mostly good things about P3, but I've yet to try it. VGC has been good to me, so unless someone gave me a bottle of P3 to test, I can't imagine switching. Vallejo all the way(ho)!

Vallejo is godlike, so is P3. Reaper I only have a few metallics of...
Vallejo Game Color is like GW paints 2.0. With dropper bottles.

i'm in the P3 camp...
the unusual undertones of a lot of the colors are what sells it for me...
plus, i'm not a fan of dropper bottles, since i like to paint straight from the flip top if i don't need to mix a custom color...
they cover better than any other brand i've tried, and have a nice, strong, liquid pigment base, which means you can thin them without seperation...
P3 makes up about 95% of my paint selection, and i wouldn't have it any other way...
cheers
