Ok so I've been trying out daemons for about a month now and I'm been either tabling my opponent or getting tabled. Doesn't seem to be much of an in between. So I'm thinking I need some pointers about my list.
HQ's
- Fateweaver
- Blue Scribes
- Skulltaker on Jug
Troop
15 - Bloodletters
15 - Bloodletters
10 - Pink Horrors + The Changeling
Elite
3 - Flames of Tzeentch
Heavy
- Daemon Prince: Mark of Tzeentch,Gaze (S5 AP3 Assault3), Bolt of Change (S8 AP1 Assault1),Flight
- Daemon Prince: Mark of Slannesh,Gaze (S5 AP3 Assault3), Pavane of Slannesh,Flight
- Soul Grinder: S8 AP3 Large Blast Spit
I stick the Blue Scribes with the Flamers and Skulltaker with one of the Bloodletter squads
My first wave is usually Fateweaver, Skulltakers squad, Changlings squad, and Tzeench Daemon Prince.
Should be right at 2000 points. And I've been thinking I should prob drop the Slannesh prince for a 2nd Soul Grinder. (short on funds atm)
And maybe give my Tzeentch DP Master of Sorcery and the Breath of Chaos so he can use all 3 spells with the left over points.
The down side is I feel like I can get out model counted by most army's. I play against mostly Nids, Blood angels, and now Eldar.
Thought maybe about dropping a bloodletter squad down to 10 and making it 2 squads of 10 and one of 15 for Skulltaker, instead of upgrading the Tzeentch prince more when I get the 2nd Soul grinder.
I know everyone says get a Bloodcrusher squad in there and watch them go and I've tried them, but they just never seem to do well enough to justify their cost.
But all in all I'm just not sure so I'm hoping to get some advice from someone else who has been playing as daemons, or against them on a regular basis, longer than myself.
