Orks are the army one never truly finishes putting together. In this regard, I am looking to build more Warbikes and Warbuggies for my Ork army...

My main question is what's a good, *cheap* source of tires for them? The ones sold at hobby stores tend to be either too big or too expensive for bike; are there any tutorials on how to scratch-make tires, etc?

you could try ringed cords? [like the ipod headphone cord]

You cut a bit to size, then put them a glued circle, then voila! you have a tyre.

and, headphones are free, just go find an airline.

Lego's are what I have used in the past. Also, Your Trukks dont really need all those wheels...I should know I have lost a bunch of them...

I know the Trukkss don't need all the wheels...

What are other good sources of wheels that don't involve buying lego or plane tickets? The ones for the Warbike are so much smaller than the Trukk/Battlewagon ones for example...

The ones for the Stinger seem to be a decent size. I can't speak to the quality though, I haven't bought any myself yet.

One source you might not think of.. RC racing hobby stores. Not that you should buy brand new tires.. BUT evidently those hobbyists burn thru a lot of tires.. and their old, discarded tires would be perfect for orky what-nots..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

I found some awesome little diecast toy monster trucks at my local supermarket for about 50p each. The giant oversized wheels (relative to that scale at least) are perfect for using on conversions.

Keep yer eyes peeled for packs of 'em in Poundland, or whatever cheapo shops you have over there, too.
