Hey guys I got some OOP models from a friend the other day, he was going through his massive toy box from when he was young and found them, I know a couple of them are Chaos and skaven and orcs, but i'm also interested to know what year they were released, I can't find when the little orc guys came from? I'm sorry I can't post pics in the thread i'm not sure howto yet, but they are in my gallery under oop models if anyone wants to help a Dakkaite out? the models are in great condition and i just want to know the history behind them.
thanks guys

Off my head, pre-slotta (possibly Ral partha even) orc and beastman (early-mid 80's), early slotta clanrat and chaos marines (mid-late 80s).
http://www.solegends.com/citadel/index.htm is your friend.
If you want to post a piccy up just c&p the forum link from the "share this image" bit in the gallery.
Edit - the orc and beastman don't look particulary like early Citadel sculpts style wise tbh, but I can't be arsed to trawl through the SoL website. Good luck mate!

The marines are World Eaters. I want to say very early 90s coming out at about the same time as the Blood Crusher (wait, no, that's not the right name....it was a wheeled Khorne engine of death thing) model, but that's only from memory.

Cool, the models are really quaint, I like them, I was going to sell them fo a couple of bucks but I feel that their age helps me focus on producing nicely painted current mini's and now i can appreciate the older ones, knowing their history is just a nice touch! do you guys have any old oop mini's :-)

Yeah, though the list considerable so I wont repeat it here.

Blood Slaughterer. That sound like the one. It was a silly model! Like a giant possessed Segway! Well sort of...
Nerdfest - Yeah mate. I got a load of oop SW stuff like Long Fangs, G.Hunters, Ragnar, Iron/Rune Priests, Wolf Guard Termies and some other random bits. Takes me back to when I used to play as a kid... ahh the memories *sniff*

I'm not sure the middle one is GW. The first ratman looks like one of the early Trogdolytes but not quite... it must just be a very early Skaven model.
Those World Eaters are actually really nice!

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes... |

Goin by my hazy memory of that particular base type and scuplt style, I think the orc and large beastmantypethingy may be Ral Partha.

if you want to post images you've uploaded into dakka's gallery, it's actually pretty easy. click on the image in your gallery and scroll down to below it. there is a line that says forum link with an address below it. if you click to highlight the address, it should automatically copy to your clipboard (if your windows security settings are med/high, you may have to confirm the process). you then just have to go to the message and press control-V to paste it in. it'll be automatically formatted. hope that helps.
