It's up for pre-order now. I only own about 35 paints, all of which are running..Low...I guess

Should I get one? I know for a fact my grandfather would be more than happy to buy it for me

Yeah it's definitely worth it, you save so much over the cost of the paints seperately.

Yeah, total, the stuff is roughly 350$ or so..Seems like a great bargain, since I don't have any of those nice new pots.

Yep, worth it - you will find a use for all those colours, and it makes it easy to keep things organised.

Is it the citadel paints? if so not really worth it at any price, use vallejo or reaper paints.

Got the one from last year and I love it. The case great. Its easy to throw everything together to head to the store to paint if I want a change of scenery. The set makes it so I know I have all my paints.

I havent got one, but I've gotta say here, how many shades of brown and the like are necessary. When you get the super mega happy set you end up with everything. I don't know about you, but I only use a fraction of the colours that are represented...But then, I'm not that good, so maybe its just me, but brown is brown!

If you think you're going to use enough to justify it, then go for it! I know I'd love that set, but to be fair I'm painting about 4 different armies right now and need the colors!

I got one a few years ago- definitely gotten much use out of it. I'd highly recommend it.

After you tap out a particular paint pot, though- definitely do a search for color equivalencies and refill with a less-pricey brand.

The reason for all the shades of brown and greens is that ist lets you layer and wet blend much easier

Yeah, that's fair enough, I'm just looking at the budget price in Australia of 413 AUD when I say that!

It's a bit different if you're buying it in England...all hail the mighty pound! The best our currency can beat is the NZ dollar which is made of cheese!

What I'd really like is a mega set aimed at less than capable painters like myself that has slightly larger pots of some of the more basic colours.

I still have the paint set that came in the aluminium case (some paints came with that set and are a bit knackered) and quite a few are running out. I'm definately thinking of getting this

works out much better value than the wash and foundation sets.
Forking out the lump sum on paints is not an option for me sadly :(

Is the case the same type as te figures carry case?
If it could be used for minis it just gets better.

New stuff is always great, it seems worth it but I'm really moveing away from GW paints. Still though their metallics are great!
