Hey guys, I know there's another Myst thread here already but I just wanted to ask a question about the game if I may? My dad and i were really into Myst and played it for ages when it came out, and i'd love to suprise him with a new game of one of the sequels as a gift for renovating my bathroom for me! he's a great dad, but i'm not sure which sequel to get? I was thinking the last one as it should be the best visually and game play, but then i thought perhaps the 4th one just to jog his memory about it all and still give him something to look forward too? he's played riven but I think that's as far as he got, so can anyone give me some idea of what would suit?

I liked 4 alot. I rate em as 1>2>4. I didn't really dig 5 or 3 all that much. The nice thing about 4 is that it really fleshes out the relationship between Atrus and his sons, which is central to the first game. Also 4 is not a terrible looking game. Its alot of prerendered shots, but I though everything looked really good. Only one of the book worlds looked kind of lame IMO (I wasn't feelin Serenia), but the rest were pretty well executed.
