My Girlfriend goes to VCU so I am always down there, the only place I know of is One Eyed Jacques in Carrytown, but the never seem to be running 40k games. Or the times I go in there noone is playing. They have the tables though so if someone is up for it I am always down to play.

Both One Eyed Jacques and the Hobbytown, USA on W Broad are looking to get different scenes together from what I understand. There's also a hole-in-the-wall place out in Ashland called Time Warp but I am not familiar with those guys at all.

Isnt FTW games just a stones throw away from Richmond?

Last time I drove by there (July?) a sign was on the window with notice of eviction. I'm totally confused that there are events for September on their calendar.

I had FTW Games confused with a place in the West End. FTW is very much open, although not on Mondays. To make up for my mistake I drove out to the South Side and supported them by picking up some paint and one of the new plastic daemon princes. Place looks great. Four big tables for wargaming with lots of scenery and some other tables for Magic and the like. Service was friendly and not at all pushy. Most importantly, the selection is fantastic. They not only had a good range of 40k, fantasy, and PP stuff but also a lot of things I've never seen in person: Uncharted Seas, Firestorm Armada, Ex Illis, Infinity, even Ultraforge Daemons. They were also selling the SM portion of Black Reach out of the box and offered similar deal on elves and skaven from Island of Blood. Decorations-wise, there's a full size Storm Trooper and a pretty awesome home-made set of Space Marine armor. There are also several fully painted armies on display, including a beautiful CSM one.

The crowd seemed mostly late highschool, early college.

Cool Thanks! I always bring my stuff with me when I come down so I can paint or what not while the girl is in class/work. So I would love to get a game in, now when I come down I know where to go.

That's a double no. Only been there one time and I don't know a soul. Maybe I will stop by more often when I have my CSM at least assembled. Did you know 'Ard Boyz is going on there this Saturday?

Was not aware of that. Only saw the 2 on 2 tournament. Where do you normally play at?
