I haven't heard to much about the Nob bikers lately. Are they to easy to counter now or are they just to cheesy that nobody plays them? Let me know what you think.

I just whupped my best mates footslogging army and he's moving to something like this, so I will let you know. I know that they are pretty effective at what they do, and I know that as a squishy IG plater I am scared of it!

The problem with Nob bikers is that everyone and their mother brings ML galore, which make quick work of the only units you even have on the table. So Nob bikers have phased out because everyone has strength 8+ weaponry to kill mech and that same weaponry tends to make short work of Nob bikers. On a side note the newer storm shields (with the 3+ invul) have really reduced the effectiveness of bikers.
Yea, meltaguns and missile launchers are not your friend with a bikernob army. Cover/black smoke saves can help but 2 wounds a piece gone every time you fail and 1/12th of your list each time.
That's not to say it isn't effective. It is. But it (this type of list) helped form the new metagame full of mech and melta/missile galore. You have to shoot something before you assault the gooey insides against mech, and this list doesn't do that terribly well against anything AV12+.
That means you assault a vehicle, then you sit there and get fired upon. On the bright side, you don't have the problem 12 man trukkboy mobs have which is that they assault a vehicle and die from the ensuing explosion.
