me a couple of friends played black powder last night . had a blast . in the battle . the british had to hold off the french army from persueing the rest of their army . so the brits had to slow them down . the brits had a artillary battery ready to go . good bloody mess but the french managed to push up the road on the left but not after taking lots of casleutites . enjoy the pics

Are those 20mm miniatures?

The secret to painting a really big army is to keep at it. You can't reach your destination if you never take any steps.

Look like 28mm Victirx and Perry plastics to me with some metals.

Thanks Big P.

If those are Victrix, I may be looking to buy some of their plastic Austrians (due out next year they say).

But what rules set to use? MattRendar used Black Powder but I'm not sure I like such random rules. What's the word on LaSalle?

Both sets of rules seems to have their 'lovers' and their 'haters'.

I have yet to play laSalle but Im not sure it will suit my preffered laid back style of gaming. Would like to try it, but at that price for the rulebook, Im not sure I will get the chance.

Black Powder works for my group as we are fast and loose with rules at the best of times... Plus all the games we have played have been immense fun.

British vs French?! Surely those Frenchies are allowed four times as many points.. its only fair eh chaps?

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.
