I posted my Footslogger list the other day and from the last few post they gave me the idea that it might get a little tiresome moving all the boy and have the same basic units do similar roles every game and it got me thinking about actually finishing my Speed Freaks instead and I wanted to see what you thought of the list I had come up with.

The Idea should be a somewhat straight forward with all the gas powered vehicles of Orky Death screamin toward my enemies! I'm thinking of placing the Trukks near the middle with the Battlewagons on either side and hopefully having the Burnas somewhere in the front to get to the enemy troops all the quicker. I'm going to try and use my Warboss and Nobs as the vanguard of destruction to hunt down any real armored threats on my opponents side of the board as they soak up wounds with the abusable allocation. While that's happening I'm hoping to be able to quickly get the Boyz in position to either destroy ground troops or pop transports with their planks and unload on the next turn to unleash their Krumpin upon the enemy! I plan to keep the Burnas inside their Wagon at all times while they flame out my opponents troops that try to grab any semblance of a strategic position. I'm really hoping that the unit does well, because I love the way it sounds and it's just way too Orky to pass up. Let me know what you think, because I definitely want some extra opinions on this list.

Dont see a point in 2 Big Shootas for wagons. GIve them red paint in exchange for 1 shoota

Idk, I just saw it as an extra weapon destroyed result before they get immobilized. But I can see where you're coming from. There's enough points to give them the Red Paint as it is without giving up the second Shoota, but is there anything else you'd move around with the extra points? I dont see much I can do besides some minor changes that won't affect too much.

Well its a pretty standard list so not much else unless people feel that trukks and wagons wont compliment each other that well.

Maybe make the wagon boyz shootas which again does nothing to point changes

Shoota boyz in the wagons for sure. Two big shootas on the wagons is a waste, get RPJ or Boarding Planks instead.

Also, the points on your Wagons are wrong. They're at 135 but only cost 130.

Points on your Trukks are wrong too. 112 for 12x + Nob. 40pts per Trukk. 152pts per mob.

Thanks for correcting my points. I don't have my codex on me atm, but I'll recheck em once I get ahold of it. Do you really think shoota boys are the best for Wagons? I know theyre good but won't the slugga boyz extra CC attack really help especially since they're going to be rushing in face first? I'll definitely try it because it sounds interesting. Do you usually use them from inside the wagon and just drive by with their shots and unload if the wagon gets popped?

Slugga are necessary in Trukks because they need the extra close combat punch due to their low numbers. However, with Wagons it's nice to still be able to put out some serious fire power even when you don't get out. The loss of CC power isn't as noticeable with the larger squad and a Wagon rolling around dropping 40 S4 shots is a pretty strong unit.

Why not drop the burnas have 3 mobz of 20 boyz ride in the battlewagonz and have a 4th battlewagon for the nob squad and the warboss and the big mek. I would suggest staying away from trukks.

I really like the idea of using the Burnas for now, but I'll definitely think about using the third Battlewagon for the Boys but I can't use a fourth wagon unless I've gone completely insane, lol. Isn't it just 3 Heavy Weapon choices? A fourth one would be illegal in accordance to general rules I'm assuming... O.o

Nobz can take a Battlewagon as a Dedicated transport. My current 2000 point list consists of 5 BWs with 2 Nobz squads, 1 Burna squad, and 2 Boyz squads. I love it.

By the might of Gork and Mork that's amazing. I never really paid any attention to that part of the entry! Is it more effective to use the points and switch them over to the Battle wagon and eliminate the Bikes and Trukks? And to that theme, if I put all the boys in the Wagons would you suggest going all shooty just to get some effective shooting out of them before they disembark?

Honestly i think Burnaz in a transport are too good a unit to pass up, if left unchecked they can do some SERIOUS work. (read a recent battle report of Burnaz in a transport turboing around the map and dropping 30 Marines over the course of one game )

There is much debate over shoota or sluggas, imo ide rather have the extra attack than shoot an extra shot (poorly) at range. I always saw speedfreaks as a list that gets in your face FAST and pressures you to no end, that makes me think sluggas would be better.

Nob Bikers are a GREAT Deathstar of a unit, just make sure they are all outfitted differently to make the best use of wound spread and it seems like your good to go!

They say the Emperor protects; tell that to the Orks.
