Go for Imperial Guard. They have many different styles of play which are all equally enjoyable.

Air Cav: Load up on Veterans and Valkyries. Use them to outflank and corner the enemy, targetting weak points.

Treadhead: Load up on armour and bombard the enemy while most of their armour bounces off your AV14.

Mass Infantry Blob: Take many Infantry Platoons with few armour. You defeat the enemy through mass firepower and numbers.

I think you should use proper spelling, punctuation, and grammar in your posts.

As Orks, get Black Reach, sell off the Marine half (or split the cost up front), get a codex, a box of Nobz, and 3 boxes of boyz to make into shoota boyz. Alternately, load up on a battlewagon with deffrolla for the nobz, or get some lootas for the fire support. You'll also need paint, but the scheme is your call.

First off the codex. Then you've got to decide what sort of army you want- shooty or killy or lots of trukks, battlewagons etc. Ork Boyz are reasonably neccesary for all of these. A Big Mek, from what I've seen, is rather useful too.

Therefore, I'd start with Boyz. If you can find someone who wants to start SM, see if he'll go halves in AoBR with you, as you get a lot more boyz per dollar.

Edit: Also take paints into account, thinking about it.

Imperial Guard is a very expensive army. If you've only got $200, there's a website called apocabitznow that sells the AoBR box set with just Orks or Space Marines for $72. you'll end up with around 1000 points of either army for $72. You can also buy the codex at %20 off. I'd suggest going with one of those.

A VERY interesting way of starting up Orks.... Truely, that is an Ork army that has never been seen before.

/sarcasm.

Right off the bat, OP, assuming you have the core rules, I would get the Ork Codex, Ork Boyz, and an Ork HQ, play a few games, and then see what you like. Get two units of Ork Boyz, don't put them all the way together yet, but play a small game with one unit counting as Shootas and the other counting as Sluggas.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
