Right the Lore Attribute of the Lore of Metal is says that direct damage and magic missiles in the lore roll to wound using the enemies armour value and are flaming attacks. Great so far.

So the magic missile attacks and the direct damage attacks in the lore are: Searing Doom, Gehenna's Golden Hounds and Final Transmutation.

However Final Transmutation seems to contradict the Lore Attribute telling you exactly what you should do - i.e. no rolling to wound.

So my question is simple, for final transmutation do you have to role to wound assuming every model is hit?

If so do you roll to wound before or after rolling 5+ to turn the enemy model to gold.

Final transmutation dosen't cause wounds it removes models Instead so it dosen't use the lore attribute, but rather the rules as given in it's description – 5+ to kill, 6+ for multiwound models.

If you arent rolling to wound you dont use the rules telling you what to do when rolling to wound....

Thats what I thought. Would have been better seen as they are both exceptions to the normal practice of rolling to wound that Final Transmutation noted that the Lore Attribute be ignored spacifically in this case.

Why should the rules tell you to ignore a roll you aren't gonna be making anyway?
