The rules are clear on many of the things that happen when rolling to find out which spells your wizards have.

You can have duplicates if:

If the model has no choice over which spells it has
You have exchanged the spell for another spell (e.g. Signature or No1 in army book)

Then the rules state that you can swap to another in this law if you roll the same spell twice.

So say I have two wizards both choosing from the same lore.

Wizard 1 chooses his spells
Wizard 2 rolls his spells

Am I right in assuming Wizard 2 does not get to pick his spells if he rolls the same spells that 1 got because 1 did not roll for his spells?

Or if I get the same spell as the first wizard is it possible for me to choose another spell from that lore?

Also would it then be possible for me to choose a spell that Wizard 1 has already got because duplicates are allowed?

I think Wizard 2 must accept the spells that he rolls and that choosing spells and rolling for spells are essentially entirely seperate.

you would get to choose another spell for wizard 2. you cant have duplicates of spells. if you roll for number 2 first you may not pick any of the spells he already has for number 1 unless its a signiture spell. or as most army books say you can exchange any spell for spell #1 you can have duplicates of that single spell. so picking a spell is essentially placing a die on the number spell you want it to land on. your simply taking out the chance involved of getting the spell you want

I don't think this is the case as I have already mentioned, that if wizard 1 chooses his spells duplicates of those spells are allowed as stated on page 140.

Yes you can have duplicates if say the 1st wizard has loremaster as he hasnt chose any spells hes given all of them in that lore.

Yup there are other rules that allow wizzards to choose specific spells, these too can be duplicated with rolling.

For instance, Teclis has High Loremaster and knows all 6 spells of his chosen lore (I think it's an oversight on the FAQ that he doesn't have Loremaster per the BRB, but anyway). He is assigned those spells for the lore.

Then, if you have another wizard who rolls for spells, you can have duplicates of the same lore, because Teclis had no choice in the spells he received.

Incorrect. You ignore any wizard who chooses their spells for determining when you have a "duplicate" spell occuring or not.
