Could we have 4 different sub forums on the swap shop to limit the posts to geographic postal areas. e.g. UK / USA / Southern hemisphere / Worldwide. It would aid looking at the items and enable different people to moderate different areas. Just a thought as I use this service quite a bit.

There's not _quite_ enough traffic to warrant creating sub-fora in the Swap Shop at this time, I think. In the meantime, we are trying to be more vigilant with regard to making sure that people include their [Country] Tags in their titles.

As a general rule of thumb (and we'll be adding this to the rules/Guidelines in a couple of days) assume that everyone is willing to ship worldwide unless otherwise stated. So hopefully, people will be better about specifying if they're interested in only trading within a given country/continent such as [USA only], [UK only].

Okay, but if the traffic picks up it maybe something to consider.

So if there is not quite enough traffic for this, then how come we have the silly post-bump rules? I understand them to a point but lately the swap shop mod has gotten a little carried away with them.

In the sticky thread where the change was posted most of the replies were in favor of the limit to bumps. And that's even with the people who bump tending to be more vocal than those who don't.

In the end, 4 days is not long at all to wait, and it's a reasonable compromise.

Also, we were more vocal about this lately since it was a change to the rules. Often we can handle those kinds of things through PM, but it has helped to post to let everyone know about it since it was a recent change.

Ok, I get that. But here is something to consider: posting that in their threads is kind of like giving them a free bump, right?

Well, we usually we try to do it right after it's posted (assuming one of us is on duty!) so that we can point them to the guidelines without defeating the whole point

On the topic of swap shop sub forums, any chance of game specific catigories? I know they often cross the line and it may be hard to keep up on, but I've been tricked by DE being Dark Elves and not Dark Eldar about a zillion times. I would like a just 40k section, its the only thing I play.
