I'm IRISH!

my shoulder pads are mechrite red with blood red, there is no blending added just one block colour over another, how'd you get the two colours to blend using a wash, and what coloured wash would it be, how many layers of the wash would be needed etc?

There are three options.

1. Use a red wash, this will tone down the highlights so they aren't so stark.

2. Use a blue wash. This will add depth.

3. Use a brown wash. This also adds depth but is warmer than the blue.

As for how much...you'll have to try one layer and see if it's enough for you. If not, try another.

I would use a black/brown wash to smothen out the colour and give "wear and tear". Then a red colour to give a blended red hue. A blue wash could be a good idea, but i personally would water it down as you do not want too much blue colour.
