So, I was thinking of adding a unit of assault marines to my army, but I would only be able to add 5-6 and another priest. I have read that assault squads should have as many units as possible, with melta guns, but a 6 man jump squad with a melatgun, jumpacks, a jumpack priest and a sergeant with a powerfist and plasma pistol be a viable option for shock troopers to take an objective and wait untill the tac squads get to it, shoot at Armour and/or the heavy infantry, and assault the odd crippled shooty squad? Or would it be worth waiting for the money to make 10?

The gold standard is 10 man 2 meltas and a pfist.

The plasma pistol is expensive, and not as good as an inferno pistol when combined with 2 melta guns.

I waste 5 points on upping the pfists to thunderhammers myself, but it's a waste of points that I engage in because I prefer the look of thunderhammers.

Thunder hammers are cool I suppose. I rather have a chain fist though. There needs to be power armor chainfists
