I have had an issue with my deffkoptas from AoBR set not staying on there stands so I glued the whole thing together. Recently the flimsy plastic bases and sticks they rode upon decided to break like bones in under a steamroller, So my question is this:

How much of an issue would it be for me to play them without a base or should I try to buy a few larger bases(such as those of a Deff Dred)from ebay and the likes for them to at least have a proper base to reside upon? Any input welcome, thanks for your time.

Me an me orkies are krumpin best we can.

In a tournement the model has to be on the base that it was supplied with, that meens a flying base of the approriate size.

In a friendly pickup game, I could care less what the model is based on.

How did you manage to break the large flying base?!

Do you play baseball in your home, using Orks as the ball?

Do you fantasize that you are Godzilla, and smash your miniatures underfoot in fits of pretend rage?

Base it on the base it came with, and be gentler with your miniatures. You should not have a problem.

Just use a small drill to drill out the bit stuck in the hole and shove it on another flight stand?

Use blutac or something to help. If you want to be really fancy you could get small magnets and magnetize it.
