Now I just had my first experience with Warmachine models, which I bought thinking I could stand in for 40k models in a conversion. Little did I know that an actual 28mm scale model is about a quarter the size of a space marine

Since when did heroic scale = huge?

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes...

Looking at my WM models, most of them seem to be roughly the same size as a Space Marine, if not a little taller. Admittedly, scale tends to vary within the range. Which model are you finding is off?

The Protectorate models, I have used Khador before (have you SEEN the Fenris model!?!) but these ones (daughters of the flame) seem like halflings or somethings. I'm comparing one to a Necron warrior now... it has about 2 heads on her. Really thrown a spanner in the works of my Sisters of Silence conversion :(

Hopefully the others will be a little better. I have the Harbinger of Menoth arriving soon, and it looks pretty damn big.

EDIT- WM is supposed to be 30mm scale *chuckles*

GW has no consistent scale. It's all over the shop.
No infantry range is in scale to any other. No vehicles are in scale to the infantry or other vehicles.

Space marines are supposed to be giants among men.
Sisters of silence were not so enhanced, so should be a more lithe scale.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.

I suppose so. Even my Tau Ethereal dwarfs all these models
