Need thoughts on my current army if it seems scattered its because these are just the guys I have ATM. Suggestions are greatly welcomed as I am relatively new and haven't played a regulation match with my own army yet. First ever match was my friends crap tau army against blood angels.

oops forgot to post my army list first time.

There are two competitive builds at the moment.
One is mech and the other is Iyanden. Here some pics (1500 mech).

I would do something like that with all the Mech and stuff but my funds limit my army a bit I only work 3 days a week and I need to pay car insurance and stuff. My only falcon grav tank is one I made from scratch out of lego's and cardboard, and I personally think it looks quite good for one of first paint jobs. Also used leftover acrylic paints because I didn't have any citadel paints yet.

I would recommend giving your troupe master a power weapon instead of a kiss. They're both free when you upgrade to one.

Not true at all lol. There is a few "competitive builds", but mainly vehicle heavy eldar does the best in most showings. Wraithguard heavy however, are far from tournament competitive anymore especially with the pending DE release.

Since it looks like you are rather short of funds, might I recommend a Foot Eldar list with Avatar. You can pick up guardians dirt cheap on Ebay, just make sure it comes with the heavy weapons platform and weapons.

multiple units of 10 guardians + warlock + Scatter laser (or others if you plan to guide the unit). Stay in range of Avatar's 12" fearless bubble and they become like roaches to make go away.


Sadly harlies typically fail pretty hard :/, at T3 5++ save their ridiculous high point cost can be horrifically hit and miss. One match they will murder a unit then die, the next two matches they will never see combat.

Maugen Ra, while cool suffers from the same problem as all the other Pheonix Lords... horribly overcosted.

Thats pretty much the coolest thing I've ever seen. That vehicle means biznass!
