so, this sept lives on a forest world.... they believe that every living thing has a spirit that communes through nature...
they go to battle in earth tones, and when not fighting they sit alone and meditate in the forest for days on end. They are meticulously neat and despise anything disorderly. Their biggest enemy-Space Marines, for utter disregard to any life not ruled by the Emperor.

Interesting concept. I'm not really sure that Tau have any sort of religion or spirituality, besides veneration of the Ethereals, though I suppose if Farsight can turn from The Greater Good, a sept could become tree huggers.

Interesting, though I'm not sure if that philosophy is the kind of thing that would exist in the tau empire. Religion doesn't seem to be there thing. There isn't much to go with as far as materials on tau culture go. I do know that fire warriors spend time meditating upon the next days battle though, which isn't really the sort of thing that goes with your peaceful loving tone you gave to this sept.

This sounds like Eldar exodites as 'wood elves in space'.

Eldar and spirituality would make sense. Tau depend on tech too much to give a damn about trees.

I always thought of Tau being Soviet/ Communist... So why not try a Grey/ Red paint scheme? Grey main, with dark red highlights.

I personally don't care for it. But if your dead set on it go with what you like. Its your army/money at the end of the day.

So they're not really into peace are they, they're still warriors with big guns at the end of the day regardless how much they roll around in the grass in between fighting.

Well this is 40k, it's to be expected.

Go for it. The Tau Empire is growing, and growth is painful. There's bound to be more than one sect that has broken off from the Etherial Caste's views.
