I'm just throwing this out there, but has anyone here ever thought of using the ruleset from Metal Gear AC!D to play a minatures game? I'm going to try and convince a couple of mates to try it out some time this week but I I'm guessing there may be some issues in adapting it that aren't immeadiately obvious.
Mostly the "conversion" involves using Inches instead of squares, we'll be using 40k minatures, mostly MEQ and IG.
If anyone has ever tried this or has any idea how to get a nice list of all the cards I would be grateful for the help.

Also littlenibbler Orks aren't about armour saves.
Orks are about having too many models on the table, and wasting the other guy's time with your movement phase.
Orks are about having the toughest units on the table.
Orks are about not caring about how many bodies are left in a long winding trail until the squad is down to less than a third its starting strength.
Orks are about rolling more dice then you can count without the aid of a calculator or a pen and paper.
Orks are about having totally fething insane characters tearing gak down like Doc Grotsnik, Ghazghkull or Snikrot.
Orks are about being too fething awesome to die...

I think its a great game, and could make for a fun skirmish. I am not sure about aiming for balance though... I'd say make one side goons and one side heroes, and let them have at it.
For all you gamers out there, MGAcid is indeed worth playing. Fun, weird, and the best card game I ever played.

Balance may involve banning stuff like the Metal Gear cards, or the Genola + multiple Gurlugon(s) combo which make everyone but the user sit out of the game for the next 50 turns.
The Cost mechanic is good though, I might have to use a grid paper though due to facings and the differing damage multiplers for facing (front 1.0, Side 1.2, Rear 1.5).
The shooting, reactions and other chance effects are easy to use with a D100.
