So, I am giving Privateer Press one last chance to hook me, this time with Hordes. After really not digging Warmachine, I figure I will at least give Hordes a go before I throw in the towel.

I am leaning towards an eKaya list, just because I like the beasts over the constructs. Anyhow, if you have any advice, I am looking for it.

I personally prefer Hordes over Warmachine. I have a Cryx army but barley ever touch it cause I love using Circle! I run with eKaya and have not lost a game with her to date!!! Circle is a tougher army to play but when done right has huge results. I personally like how fury is managed vs focus. On top of that eKaya has upkeeps and abilities such as Alpha that basically let our war beasts charge and slam for free etc so you have lots of fury control with her which lets you take bigger beasts, more of them and also lets you push them pretty hard. The Circle army has a lot of units who by themselves are ok but not great. The trick is to play off of each units strength and make one massive army that rubs everyones back. Don't be afraid to take some minion models as well. Lastly eKayas feat doesn't look much on paper but has won so many games for me. The trick I have had has always been to keep her out of harms way with Laris by her side. On your turn use your war beasts very aggressively and do as much damage as possible. Once they have killed a few models have Laris do a full march which will be his speed (7") plus (3") and spirit door Kaya (2") past him. From there Kaya does her feat and all your big beasts make a (3") wall around her and you should be in charge range of their caster with a bunch of scary monsters for your next turn =) If you have played you war beasts safe you should have more than enough beasts with lots of health ready to just tear a warcaster apart. On your opponents turn they usually wont have expected you to have moved that far and that fast. Also because you had your war beasts engaging other models earlier that turn try to start battles far away from their caster so that reinforcements are far away. Now that the opponents models are set up on the wrong parts of the board you shouldn't have too many things to worry about. Your battle group should have stealth to protect from firing have +2 to their defence and when they charge next turn have an additional +2" to their speed and +2 to strength. On top of that your opponent usually wont have enough to take out all your war beasts so when it does go back to your turn you can charge and finish the game. It takes a few turns though to create the gaps you need to do this so make sure to take druids and Lord of the Feast to take out infantry etc. I hope this helps and good luck with Circle!

Hordes and Warmachine are pretty close to the same thing, except you have beasts instead of jacks and rage instead of focus. Good luck though, I hope you enjoy it, although PP stuff isnt for everyone unfortunatly. I'm haveing a hard time convincing my friends to play with me.
