So with all the rumors of the new Dark Eldar codex coming out I decided that I might buy some when the new models are released. However there are some fluffical (is that a word? ) issues that I was wondering if someone could help me with?

1. A homebrew Kabal name, the "Black Heart" just doesn't do it for me.

2. An Archon Name as I have no idea as to go about naming them!

3. Perhaps some fluff revolving round the Kabal and it's leader??

Any help would be greatly appreciated

The Trend seems to be "the cabal of (enter the nastiest thing you can think of here)"
Maybe something like the cabal of screaming souls or the cabal of the flayed mind?
For your archon, Id browse some of the dark elf names for inspiration, since lets face it, dark eldar are really just the elves who are dark and also in space.
Hope this is of some help .

I was never interested in playing Dark Eldar, though I've always been a fan of coming up with names. Here's a few thoughts I had.

The Kabal of Shadowed Grace

The Kabal of the Twisted Mind

The Kabal of Relentless Pain

The Kabal of Scarred Flesh

The Kabal of Endless Torment

The Kabal of Not-so-Fluffy Bunnies

Wait for the new Codex.
Currently the DE only have 4-6 written pages of background and even those will be changed with the new release.

Kabal of the Hellbound Heart.

There: Three homages to Clive Barker all in the same name.

Kabal of the sundered spirit.

As for Archon names. Look at Dark Elf names and change letters. They seem to have harsh sounding names. Names that can be barked, not whispered (those names are reserved for the humonculi).

Several things you need in dark eldar fluff.

Betrayal, violence, adversity and cruelty. They live in a gigantic city hidden in the webway where only the most ruthless, smart, manipulating and methodical survive. And then only a few rise to true greatness and power.

My first Dark Eldar cabal was called "The Bronze Legion" Cabal. Due to their brass/bronze coloured armour. I might stick with them or go with something new.

What I came up with for a Kabal name was the Kabal of the Bloodied Hand but I don't know whether this would be seen as reffering to the Avatar of Khaine?

I actually like that. Honestly the Avatar of War and Khaine himself really represent the hatred and violence the Dark Eldar represent imo. The fluff on the War God Khaine paints him as a vicious, deceitful tyrant, the new book Path of the Warrior tells a bit about his part of the War in Heaven. That plays in perfectly with the DE I think there probably is a Avatar at the heart of Commograh they just don't sacrifice themselves to awaken it.

Also the name I've chosen for my archon is Lethis Varaketh which brings up another point: Can archons be female? or do the females have to be archites?

Fluff-wise I dunno if DE females can be archons, but the title of 'archon' can be held by males or females. Archon Melissa Steiner . . .

I'm thinking of it possibly being a Wych-Cult and the Wych lord being named "Lethis Varaketh", I'll just convert the new lelith model
