I had an idea for an eldar special character

You may include 0-3 bonesingers in your army:

stats: same as warlock, but with Ld10 for psychic powers (morale checks and pinning tests are still made at Ld8).

psychic powers:

song of healing: restores one wound to a wraithlord (max 3).
song of restoration: repairs one weapon destroyed or immoblilized result.
song of reinforcement: adds +1 to all vehicle armor facings (max 14) until the next turn.

points please?

i-Eldar: there's an aspect for that.

Sorry I didn't post this, but you have to buy the powers individually, and you can only cast one power per turn. you can, however, opt to buy farseer spirit stones at 20pts

Song of healing: (12" range) restores one wraithlord wound or grants one wraithlord or wraithguard unit the "feel no pain" USR until the end of the turn (10)pts
Song of restoration: (9" range) 12pts
Song of reinforcement: (9" range) 15 pts
Song of protection (new): (18" range) creates floating wraithbone shields that grants a single unit a 4+ cover save on attacks from 2 enemy units (counts as a 5+ invulnerable in CC)(20pts)

also, a few edits:

statline: same as farseer, but BS 4.

wargear: no rune armor, wears a suit of continuously moving wraithbone plates (3+ armor save, 5+ invulnerable due to the constant shifting), ghost helm (4+ to avoid perils of the warp)

options:

P.S. no, song of reinforcement does not stack.

i-Eldar: there's an aspect for that.

The Song of restoration removes the one glaring weakness of a Fire Prism the elements that aid mech army should be increased points wise

the ability to throw a Bone singer in a falcon and run it with a pair of Fire Prisms give you a 13 armor fire prism with HF that you can just ignore immobilized and weapon destroyed results this makes it insanely powerful

I like the idea though love the idea of increasing the effectiveness of Wraith units

Chicago

1) I don't like the whole "song" theme. We already have dancers, the Eldar don't need any more help being mocked

2) It seems interesting, but they do seem a little overpowered. Other armies that can heal wounds or fix vehicles tend to do it rather infrequently (no better than 50% of the time). With a Ld10, you get these powers 91.7% of the time, which seems a bit much. Perhaps keep him at Ld8.

3) No FnP. I love my WLs, but they're already very hard to kill, they don't need that.

4) Why not just give them standard wraithbone armor?

5) Why is this a special character? Wouldn't it make more sense as a normal HQ? Or, even make it part of the retinue for a Farseer (but operate independently).

Overall, I like it. I've always felt the Eldar could use more psykers. They're suppose to be known for their psychic abilities, but your typical army only runs a single HQ and retinue (or not even that).

6000pts

stats: Ld9,

song of reinforcement: affects armor facing from vs shooting attacks from unit in the following turn (10pts)
song of hinderance: 1d3 enemy infantry units or one enemy vehicle must immediately make a dangerous terrain test.

the rune armor would up the cost too high (a 3+ armor save isn't as good as a 4+ invuln save)

I'll post more later

i-Eldar: there's an aspect for that.

I really love this idea. Effectively giving them a tech priest is something not many people will turn down.

An idea for them though is just give them warlock stats and (including the ld8) but with the new psy powers being able to be bought for them making them more psychicy than the warlocks, but make them able to be bought and used as the Farseers warlock bodyguards? or you can buy a squad of them separately as an HQ.

This is something i would love to see cos having my prism cannon popped but mocking me by still having a perfectly flyable tank is something you can get tired of.

& fighting fot the greater good.... wait what!?

Personally there is a part of me that, in friendly games mind you, wants to see the cannons get taken off my Prisms it then turns into a flying missile creating a bit of havoc even after its taken "out of the game"

I myself made the rules for a Bonesinger a month ago. As I've already made my own, any suggestions made might be too similar to mine.
