So I've decided on using my
SW as some Chaos Marines- they are really similar, so I wouldn't have to spend much.
Well, then, let's cut to the chase- Here are my chapters:
1. Night Wolves, Dark Wolves, Shadow Wolves
Founding Chapter: Night Lords, joined by many other regenade chapters.
Home Planet: None
Chaos Dedication: None- some questioning over Tzeentch's sway.
Colors: Dark Blue-Gray, Red Highlights.
Symbol: Wolf Head, Full Moon
Speciality: Sucide Attacks, Terror Tactics, Hit and Run, Covert/ Stealth Warfare.
Battle Cry: Redemption in Death!
Story: When Konrad Curze was murdered be M'shan, She left him dying, knowing that nothing could save him. A group of Night Lords came rushing in after the sound of battle, and saw their beloved primarch dying. They heard his final words, whispered and gurgled- "Follow my footsteps, my sons... find redemption in death, redemption for our crimes. Do not stop until we, the night lords, are remebered as we should be!" And with that, the Primarch died, leaving the traitors to interpret his words. They chose to set off on their own suicidal 'pentinent crusade' able to keep up their numbers by inducting new members by pressing their ideals onto other traitors and regenades, who join their forces. Fearsome warriors, they fight to the death, willingly throwing their whole force into suicide missions, which somehow they have managed to survive. They implement extreme terror tactics to frighten and weaken their 'prey', psycologically beating them to a pulp. They do make some use of demons, but rarely if ever. Deamon Princes are suprisingly common- perhaps Tzeentch appreciates their fruitless hopes of redemption. Their alliance is unknown- they may serve chaos, the emperor, or only themselves- the latter is most likely given that they both attack and defend Imperial worlds. Rare for a Chaos Chapter, they hold many Codex chapter values- Honor, Valour, Purity.
Known Conflicts:
Battle of Carnish Prime: First recorded sighting of Night Wolves. Night Wolves enage a large chaos fleet outside the eye of terror. The Chaos marines are slowly taken down, worn out by constant attacks and oppresion. Survivors are impressed into Night Wolves Service. By the time that Imperial forces arrive, they find no survivors- only burning wreckage.
The Leorn Incident: Inquisitor Lord Leorn puts up a last ditch counterattack against Tyranid Hive Fleet Mortis. His forces are all but destroyed when the Night Wolves intervene- dropping right into the middle of the Tyranids and wiping them out at great cost to themselves. Leorn buys them time to flee the Ordo Malleus, who excecute him. Furious, the Night Wolves return, destroying the imperial guard and Grey Knights who performed the deed, causing the administratorum to send multiple chapters to destroy them. They Find nothing but charred corpses- again. Having upheld their honor, the Night Lords had fled.
2. Champions of Lust, Hounds of Lust, Howling Canibals, The Experiencors, Knights of Desire
Founding Chapter: Emperor's Children
Home Planet: Eye of Terror
Chaos Dedication: Slaanesh
Colors: Bright Reds, Purples, Blues, and Pinks
Symbol: 2 of Slaanesh's Signs in an X.
Speciality: Flamers, Noise Marines, Raids on Imperial Worls
Battle Cry: None, often a high pitched howling or keening
Size: About 500 marines
Background: A splinter of the Emperor's Children legion, the Experiencors (Ex-pier- ee- ence- ors) are a Warband dedicated wholly to Slaanesh. They use noise marines to great extent, as well as weapons of flame, for their after batgtle rites are more terrifying than their fighting methods themselves. They will eat the flesh of the fallen to gain part of their memories and skills, and they constantly hunger and lust for more. Often, they will attack civilian populated areas, organizing mass orgies or rounding up the citizens, killing them or torturing them, and then devouring them. This practice has let to extreme genetic deviency- the marines are often incredible thin or extremely bloated, pale of skin and of highly tuned senses, even for a slaaneshi marine. They Constantly roam the imperium, searching for their next target.
Notable conflicts:
The Massacre at Pythos: The Experiencors insanely attack Pythos, a densly populated world on the Easten fringe. Having prepared mostly against Tau, the PDF are unprepared for the servants of chaos, and fall easily. Left to the mercy of the marines, Pythos is silent within a week- none remain save the Experiencors, bloated on blood and gore.
3. The Tempest, Storm Wardens/ Storm Demons, Warp Claws, Lords of the Apocalypse
Founding Chapter: Unknown, Possible Raven Guard or Alpha Legion
Home Planet: None, Fleet bound.
Chaos Dedication: Chaos Undivided, The Emperor
Size: 3000 marines
Colors: Blood Red, with Blue and Silver highlights
Symbol: Swirling Hurricane
Speciality: Daemons, Champions, Bikers/ fast attack, Teminators
Battle Cry: Imperial battle cries mixed with roars, screeches, and howling.
Background: The Tempest is a collection of chapters chosen by the inquisition to infiltrate and find the weak points of chaos in the eye of terror. However, the Tempest was abandoned as the risk of contamination and corruption was too high. Furious at their abandonment, The Tempest raced to the eye of terror, meaning to show the inquisition wrong. They planned to gain daemonic gifts for the use of the Imperium, but the inquisition was shocked and sent Grey Kinghts and Inquisitors to destroy them. For this, they have an extreme hate of the Inquisition. However, the Inquisition was turned back by a mighty warp storm. Taking this as a Sign from the emperor, the Tempest continued with their plans. Now a regenade chapter, they still fight for the Emperor, but not the Imperium. Time will tell if they will be corrupted fully or not.
Notable Conflicts:
The Slaying of Warboss Gutmasha: The fist known appearence of the Daemonically gifted Tempest, ariving on the volcanic planet of Inferca, to aid the imperial guard there against Waagh! Gutmasha. Though they sustained many casualties, the day was won when the Daemon Prince Ak'Har Slew Gutmasha and his entire chain of command, tracking them down and messily destroying each.
Uprising on the Eastern Fringe: A splinter group of the Tempest arrive on the Eastern fringe, invading a Tau world and reclaming it for the Emperor- when the Tau retaliate, they find no one. Turning to leave, they are ambushed by the entire fleet! A firefight rages on, and a group of Teminators board and capture the Flagship Sha'ri.
4. Blood Lords, Skull Kings, Death Raiders
So this is my 'just for fun' chapter, don't expect anything serious.
Founding Chapter: World Eaters or Word Bearers
Home Planet: Eye of Terror
Chaos Dedication: KHORNE!
Colors: Red. ANGRY RED! Black.
Symbol: Black Skull
Size: 300 Marines
Speciality: KILLING STUFF! AND DAEMONS!
Battle Cry: CHARGE! KILL STUFF! FOR THE BLOOD GOD!
Background: One day, when the World Eaters were berserkly fighting Orks, a group of 300 got seperated. So they got ANGRY! They killed bunches of orks and fought their way to the orks' Space Ship- the Big Rokkit. Clambering inside, they set off into the eye of terror. Unfortunately, the Big Rokkit crashed on a deserted world. Soon the berserkers fell to fighting, when among them rose Krakvar, who became their leader. Setting off a distress signal, they waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, as tensions grew thin (well, thinner than normal), a Space Marine fleet came into orbit, sending a rescue ship down. The Skull Kings (as they now called themselves) massacred the crew, and stole the ship. They have been pillaging ever since.
Notable conflicts: NONE!
WE KILL EVERYONE!!!
Thanks in advance for your opinions!
Oh, and please tell me your favorite name for each of the chapters. I've just used one.
