Is it just me or is there no way to make legal 500 point lists for Brets and Ogres?

With 8th it seems as if GW is pushing for larger sized games. (more money for them? /tinfoilhat)
You won't see any official tournaments at 500, so the only logical thing to do in this situation would be to come up with house rules for you and your buddies. I know I certainly wouldn't want to punish anyone based on army choice, so I'd just come up with a mutual rule against Brets and Ogres that would allow them to field a *decent* hero.

It spercificly says in either the FAQ for ogres or in the rulebook, that at 500 points you may take a Bruiser with any equipment available to him, even if it brings you over the 125%, the reason you have to take a bruisher is because i dont think you can have a hunter as a general and i know you cant take a butcher without a leader or something like that. so yeh it spercificly says about ogres. with brets, you could run a lord with virtue of empathy (may be deployed on foot) which is 120 points, and a paladin BSB for like 74 basic (with horse) so its perfectly legal.
