I'm searching for some ideas for painting my Enforcers anybody got any?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Black or a really dark blue.

Dark colors are more intimidating than bright.

Yellow is a rather friendly color. IF are so awesome, they don't need a color to express any threat.
They chose yellow to make their presence known. The warning color of the IF-legion is the black and white of the BT.

Maybe look up police officer uniforms. Most of them wear black or blue. ( yes ours are green-brown...).

Well, most of the really good imperial fist marines I've seen have been a dark yellow with lots of mud, battle damage and weathering on them. Just having that amount of damage on your armour seems enough to scare people.

i would say either dark colors, or oranges in a jail prison color scheme.

The two are separate entities by the way.

The Adeptus Arbites are a central organization within the Imperium, highly trained and dedicated to upholding galaxy-wide Imperial Law, rooting out corruption, and often investigating things which have more than planet-wide importance. Enforcers are local law enforcement agents, extremely varied and usually more concerned with upholding local law.

The people in the past who convinced themselves to do unspeakable things were no less human than you or I. They made their decisions; the only thing that prevents history from repeating itself is making different ones.

I always thought a Judge Dredd scheme would look awesome on the old school Arbites models.

I think Grey can be very "Martial" if done correctly. Think SS or Whermacht with jet black polished boots, Black Coats and Caps over "Army Field Grey" Fatigues or armour it looks the business. Or you could go for something like this....

Really intimidating then go for this
I never cease to be amazed at the emotions that a swastika invokes within me, the horror, revulsion and the inhumanity that it stands for.
I have always wanted to do an Imperial Guard army in the SS Camo

I also Was going to advocate a 75% grey(percentage refering to the amount of Black or "shade" added to the White; Codex Grey is about a 60% Grey), with Black or Dark Blue Armor, and Definitely the polished glossy Black Boots.

mwnciboo: the Swastika is a Very old symbol; and one of luck and prosperity. It was used almost universally in ancient cultures(Globe-wide). In fact many American Soldiers wore one on their helmets in WWI; hoping the luck it was supposed to bring would get them through the War and get them home again. I am repulsed by the hatred the symbol invokes in modern times, due to ignorance and association with one(really) bad event/creed.

It was also a symbol of the Sun.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

Your talking about a different symbol. The german swastika is rotating the opposite direction of the Buddist symbol. Small difference is still a difference, as it is still prevalent in architecture on temples and such.

Whoa, I never meant to hijack this thread.. Plus the concept of comparing the Soviet Union and 3rd Reich is kind of like challenging someone to the Evil dictator equivalent of a "Dance Off!"

I think super high gloss black boots, Caps and Coats look awesome on a Commissar.
especially if over the top of a very ornate uniform (well painted!).
Ala this model but with Black Boots, Cap & Jacket. I think this model makes a good example of a Judge, with a few converted bits it would look devastatingly brilliant.
