Heya Dakkadakka folks. Ive been looking at the Orks artillary weapons (It still amazes me that they even got that) from Games-Workshop for some time, and my question is. Are they Metal or Plastic?. It doesn't say that in the inscription.?

They're all metal, with metal crew.

You could always make your own. For example, The Terminus Ultra conversion kit comes with 6 lascannons. Get some wheels and a box of grots, and you could make yourself two batteries of Zzap Guns.

You could just convert some up. I made a zap gun out of an old fantasy cannon base, Tau Ion Cannon & some orky bits from various kits. Another guy I play with made one out of necron bits.

Yeah ive also been thinking to build my own custom made Big Guns but.. The problem is that i just started on Warhammer 40k so my Warhammer bitz are rather small. And there doesn't exist any Games-Workshop store anywere near where i live so it isen't easy to buy the bitz or other sets of Warhammer figures i could use for it :/. At times it sucks living in Denmark! It always Rains and no Games-Workshop stores.

Dude, you´re doing it wrong! Orks don't buy things to convert with, they take things the find at home/front lawn/the woods/second hand stores/pockets and build it from scratch!

If you live around København I recommend you make the trip over to Lund and visit Unispel, my LFGS. The guys there are really nice and if you ask them you could probably get to buy some of their bitz for a cheap buck. If you have no way of getting over here I recommend you visit their website http://www.unispel.com/catalog/ and buy from there, they have much cheeper prices, about 15-50 SEK less and really good shipping prices.

I won't bother. |
