hi there guys, as some of you may know my aim is to divert from the under belly of nurgle and aim to sculpt more "human" minitures with smoother lines and armour. so i decided i will try and sculpt a scout, as you can see from the pictures below

these picture were taken before the sanding on the back and side armour had taken place so it may seem untidy. now for the fun bit

bigger than you expected lol this is hopefully either going to be a bust or a full model depending on what people sugest?

critisism very welcome , what do you think?

a cow and a calf are cut in half, and put into some cases, to call it art, however smart, casts doubt on arts hole basis.

not bad at all so far chap, not sure if your going for the rough sculpt look, something a little more.. grunge? or crisp, I might have considered cladding the armour with plastic card as the base and working off that, as for the face. well, Im still learning the muscle structure of the human face so yours looks pretty darn nice so far, I might think about giving him a little more crisp cut look, all busts these days are attempts to look as real as possible, theres a certain artist doing the parimarchs in artwork which i would love to see translated into busts, very stylised in appearance.

thanks well he looks rougth but a bit of sanding will help but he is also meant to be a still "if you will" of him in the mids of battle so possibly ash faced battle worn apperance but depends how it goes. thanks for the comment

The head is way too big or body way too small. You decide which one. But you have to fix other one. Otherwise your miniature will end up looking like bobblehead figure.. Especially when you are making space marine and they are known to be very muscular and their body is much bigger compared to head as in normal human.. But there is nothing you couldn't fix I think. It just might take some time. But I gues it is easier to make the body little bit bigger than making head more smaller.

And some details are also little bit asymmetric. And figure of that scale needs little bit more details and they should be more precise. For example facial hair looks like it has been done very quickly.

But anyways it is good start! But you need to pay more attention to proportions and details.

yeah thanks for the advice it may be the bodu as i need to add the sides of the scout armour so it seem a bit thin on the wide side, once this has got the sides and shoulder pads which scouts have it should be okay and yeah ive been thinking of going over the hair again.
