Hi all,

I played a 2v2 game of apoc on the weekend (orks vs imperials) and have a few questions about how the rules work. I was an ork player btw.

Scenario 1a
Lifta-droppa grabs a leman russ out of a squadron of 3 and tosses it 2’ away. The russes, all three of them, cannot fire for the following 2 turns because they need to get back into coherency. Is this correct? I assume so, but it got some groans from the guard player.

1b
When the initial tank was dropped, I rolled 3 glancing hits against it, and then 3 weapon destroyed results. I say “Ok, all three turrets are gone” as I figured the glances get distributed amongst the squadron (doesn’t make sense, but I figure that’s how the rules work, so…). This resulted in a debate in which I quickly backed down – like I say, doesn’t make sense. But just out of curiosity, what would have been the right way to play this?

Scenario 2
The other ork player had a kustom force field mek in his stompa, giving the stompa a 4+ save against shooting attacks (non-str D ones anyway). For some reason, I thought a KFF only radiated out of an open-topped vehicle. Can a KFF function while inside an enclosed vehicle, like a stompa or close-topped battlewagon?

Scenario 3
Can a mek or big mek repair weapons destroyed and drive damaged results on a stompa or any super-heavy? Same guy as above’s mek had 3 oilers and proceeded to fix two destroyed primary weapons (well, the dethkannon twice) and un-immobilised the stompa. I can’t find anything that says they can’t, but it just seems odd that one ork could fix a gun that big or whatever so quickly.

Scenario 4
Can a klaw stompa have a wrecking ball and a titan CCW, or does it have to have 2 titan CCWs? This one didn’t come up, I’m just at work and was curious. Not sure if the wrecking ball counted as a CCW or not.

Anyways, that’s all for now! Thanks!

I cannot answer all these but...

1a - The tanks can still fire, they just need to move to get back into coherency when they move. That may mean they move at a speed that prohibits it, but a unit out of coherency can still shoot.

1b - The glancing hits are supposed to be allocated across the squadron - UNLESS the lifta droppa says the MODEL suffers the hits, I do not have an apoc book available to verfy -

The 'fluff' for this might be the lifta droppa grabs a tank, smashes the other two with it before flinging it away.

2 - The Mek does not need to be in an open topped vehicle, it just happens that many Ork vehicles are open topped.

The reason it "radiates" is because of the rules for measurng to / from units embarked in vehicles - it makes no distinction between open and close topped. Thus you measure th e 6" frmo the hull of any vehicle.

I guess I just got it in my head that the KFF couldn't operate in a close-topped vehicle. Anyways, I didn't make an issue of it or anything, I just thought to myself "Holy crap!".

Lifta droppa only affects one vehicle that the firing player selects as a target.
