Technically the Nobs are a troop because of the warboss. Also the Battlewagon is dedicated to the nobs. Ideally I would load the warboss into the battlewagon to start down the field, using the grots to provide cover for the boyz, blocking off as much as they can. The big mek I am not too sure about. I have been bringing him with my boyz, but would he be better off in the battlewagon? The kannons are to give me a bit more anti tank. I have been thinking of replacing them with 2 deff koptas with rokkits and Buzzsaws, but I can't seem to find the points. Any advice would be appreciated

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.

You might want to fix the way your list looks, as far as advice though, I'll post again later.

But for a reference here's a list I use similar to yours.

1500 Points. Waaagh! Da Gang Green Gang

Boss Dun' Goofed
Warboss (PK, shoota/skorcha kombi-weapon, attack squig, cybork body, 'eavy armor, BP) 125 points.

Mek Boss Slugstoppa
1 Ork Big Mek (PK, KFF, Cybork Body) 125 points.

30 Ork Boyz w. Nob (PK, BP) 220 points.

Thanks for the post. Our lists are kind of similar, but yours seems to be a bit more specialized towards footslogging. Would I be better of skipping the nobs/battlewagon in order to bring more boyz and some deffkoptas? Also, how would a footslogging army of shoota boyz with big shootas and nob(PK, BP) work out? Less running but more dakka.

Edit: Just did a bit of adjustments, this list is more of a footslogging shoota list that uses meks and old zogwort. If I were to replace Zogwort(since he is terribad), I would just bolster my lootas a bit to adjust to the point difference.
Here is a more legible army list with these new adjustments

Old Zogwort 145

Big Mek[KFF, Burna, Eavy armor, Cybork] 120

8 lootas 120

7 lootas 105

30 shoota boyz[3 big shootas, nob, pk, bp] 235

20 shoota boyz[2 big shootas, nob, pk, bp] 170

20 shoota boyz[2 big shootas, nob, pk, bp] 170

10 gretchin[1 runtherds] 43

Deffdread[skorcha, CCW] 95

Deffkopta[TL Rokkits, Buzzsaw] 70

Deffkopta[TL Rokkits, Buzzsaw] 70

Killa Kan[KMB] 55

I agree the list is hard to read. At a quick glance I would drop the 'eavy armour on the Nobs. Cybork with FNP is good enuff. I don't mess with Big Gunz but I hear good things about Lobbas.

You have a synergy problem. Your battlewagon will get into combat before the rest of your army. Your opponent will be able to deal with it with just about his entire army before they have to deal with the rest of your units.

Good point on the battlewagon getting stuck in too soon. I haven't really had a chance to play any REAL games with my orks, just some friendlies with my 2 friends who are still in the learning stages(as am I in all honesty). With the updated list, would that work better?

Battlewagons are great but when you only have one, it will end up taking all of the enemy anti-tank fire and even with the kff it won't last too long.

Is the warboss in the battlewagon with the Nobz? If not the Mega Armor has the potential to slow down whatever unit he is with.

Yeah, that was the general idea. I don't have the actual mega armour warboss yet, so I haven't had a chance to playtest that particular list.

Funny thing about the lone Battle Wagon is that mine has my Nobz, but that's it, it's just a scary target, so when they see Kans, Boyz and a huge Wagon. Your opponent tends to ponder on what to shoot first.

Ideas and Adivce:

Use the KFF Big Mek heck even 2, cover saves are great 4+ to 5+.

Try to keep Kill Kans in a Squad, separate units means extra Kill Points. (Grot Zookas for infantry, Rokkit Launchas for Anti-Vehicle)
Note: I used KMB's because I am in a high point campaign ATM it's not recommended to use KMB's; however they've worked nicely.

Shoota Boyz in squads of 30 minus how ever many Big shootas you used and the Nob equal to about 52 shots with Boyz, 9 with Big Shootas, and 1 lone Nob slugga. They run, run, run some more, oh look you're in range Dakka dakka dakka!

Lootas are amazing, great for taking out skimmers, infantry, lightly armored vehicles, even a certain model if you get good rolls. Lots of shots = lots of wounds.

Koptas use these they work wonders, twin linked rokkits and a power klaw and they're scouts. Ask someone who knows a lot about scouts, ask him to explain a Kopta to you. You'll be please to know you have an Anti-Tank unit which gets up in your opponent's face.

Nobz I like them, however people gear them out differently, I'd suggest not overloading them however.

The Nob in the Mob isn't allowed to bring it.

Only normal Nobs may.

Thanks for all the advice. I still need to get some games under my belt before I really get a feel for what you are all suggesting, but none the less thank you. Does anyone know where I can get shoota boyz on the cheap? The LGS I go to has used models, but they are all AoBR Slugga boyz and deffkoptas.

Most people aren't to caring about boyz being Shoota or Slugga, I mean, obviously it's annoying to assemble 100+ guys as either or.
If you say they're Shoota or Slugga most people are okay with this, I've played tournaments, and no one has gave me any problems with it.

However, try ebay, amazon, or a place that sells bits separately. Or check the Dakka Swap Shop on this site.

Hell I even have all my shoot boy arms and I bought like 11 boxes of boyz, I might even sell them to you.

I wouldn't put it on the Nob though... seeing as you can; just read it differently.

If you can show me a model with the Big Shoota and PK go for it.

ITT: People implying they're pros.

See a PRO-TIP is a tidbit of information that some new players don't know about, much like yourself, I like to help those newer players out

I simply don't use Big Shootas on Nobz scrub.

However, nice model.

I'd like to apologize, I don't mean to be an I just don't use Big Shootas on Nobs that's just me.
