A dremel tool at a slow speed with a sanding drum on it will be very helpful here, or else sandpaper glued to a popsicle stick. A single sheet should give you enough plastic to hone your technique enough for hundreds of
PK's. Be sure and use a relatively thick piece of plastic (and least 2x as thick as a credit card) if you're going to do this.
I understand people are hesitant to do homemade conversions because the thought of "sculpting" in greenstuff is offputting, but you have so long before it sets, and a
PK is made of such simple shapes, that I think even people with barely any skill at all and no experience can probably turn out a respectable looking work with less then an hour of fiddling.
Most importantly, post some pics of how it came out!

ehhhh. Depends on who you are fighting. The big problem with Big Choppas is that A.) It's not a power weapon and B.) It's 2 handed, so pretty sure you lose a
CC attack. Yes, you lose the extra attack with the
PK too, but the benefits outweigh the cost. It's also worth mentioning in a world where most creatures are toughness 4, there is a large difference between s7 and s8, one point or not. I don't see any compelling reason to take Big Choppas unless you really are short on points.
