At 2000 points I would not fear this list. Veterans still die like their cheaper alternatives.

Im not sure why you went with combi-plasma over combi-melta?

MM on Sternguards is Epic Fail

24" range of bolters. 24" range of multi-meltas.

Sternguard don't even have to get out of rhino to kill vehicles if they get too close, and still have 8 special ammo bolters ready for infantry if they do disembark.

I agree. You need to stay static to fire those multi meltas which means single bolter shots, plus you can only fire two out the hatch. Multi melta is anti tank Sternguard anti infantry, they do not mix. Remove multi meltas.
