Left side of the table has a forest halfway and a hill far left about 3 inch from the side. There is a small forest in the far center. The rest of the scenery did not influence the game much, so I will not name them.
My opponent deployed first. He put Vlad surrounded by Democorps just left of the small forest. Beast was put right of this group, while the jugger went on the left. The kovnik and destroyer went on the other side of the forest. The Manhunters
AD and 1 deploys in the center forest, the other behind a hill on the left.
I deploy mostly left. I deploy the mechanithralls first, with the slayer next to them. Behind them are the banethralls and a node(leftnode). Gaspy stands behind a hill just left of the center with the skarlock. Right of them are the other node (rightnode) and the warwitch. The scrappies are placed in front of them and the pistolwraiths are set right of them. The worm deploys in front of the left forest.
Turn 1
Opponent: He gives a focus to the jugger and keeps the rest. Beast and the jugger run forward. the democorps also runs forward, but not too far. Vlad walks up and casts Windwall. The manhunter on the left runs up to the forest center left and takes shelter behind the trees. The kovnik and the destroyer run up.
Me:Ì give 1 focus to the leftnode and keep the rest. The pistolwraiths reposition a bit to get more on the right side. The scrappies spread out to be a nuiscance to the destroyer and his marshall. The warwitch moves up a little and gives a focus to the rightNode. On the left I move up the mechthralls first. This clears a path for my node to run into range of the manhunter. The slayer then moves up a little and I get bottlenecked by the woods and the hill I am behind. Gaspy moves up a bit and arcs a breath trough leftnode. He hits and bossts damage. The left manhunter dies. Cankerworm thenm moves up a bit, so he is in the forest. Skarlock stands on top of the hill and cast sscything touch on the mechthralls.
Turn 2
Opponent: All focus is kept on Vlad and he just repositions his jacks a bit. The Kovnik fails a drivecheck, but the destroyer hits and kills 1 scrappy nonetheless. Vlad then casts boundless charge on both beast and the jugger.
Me: I keep
ST up and keep the rest of the focus. A plan is brewing. I start with the warwitch. she gives a focus to the rightNode (which I forgot about last run...). It runs up to 8 inch of beast. Then gaspy activates and casts parasite on beast. He hits. Then he arcs a hellfire on beast and does a few points of damage. Beast stauys put, preferring not to get closer. Good

. Next I activate a pistolwraith. It is 10" out from beast and can just hit him. First shot does a few points and beast stays again. second shot again a few points and beast stays put again. Chainattack makes sure he does not move next round. Then a scrapthrall charges him and does 7 or 8 points of damage, after hitting. A second thrall then does the same. Beast is now down to about half his boxes, but no system out yet. Still, it was a very good turn. The rest of my army repositions, at which point I get a bit careless and I put Canker within 3"of the forest edge. I also put another scrapthrall just within 2"of beast after a run. The rest of my army repositions and the bottleneck is really keeping me from any speedy game. ah well.
Turn 3
Opponent: He sees my errors and loads the jugger with focus. He then activates Vlad first. He moves past the democorps and casts Signs & Portents. The jugger (with boundless charge) then charges Cankerworm. He wrecks it after burning 3 focus. Then beast slays the scrappy in front of him. The Kovnik agains fails his drivecheck, but succeeds in killing the scappy in front of him with his axecannon and the destroyer misses his target, the rightNode. The scatter hits nothing. Then the democorps move up and surround Vlad. They take out 2 mechThralls I had in front.
Me: I upkeep Scything touch and parasite. The pistolwraith starts of with a few shots at beast, chilling it again. (opp again chose not to move.) Then I start going to town on beast with the last scrappy. He explodes and brings beast down to 6 boxes. I then decide it is worth it to charge beast with the right ripper. The siren moves a bit and then uses powerboost to give the ripper a focus. The ripper then charges the beast and hits and kills it. The mechanithralls charge the democorps. I get 6 in
B2B with the democorps. After hitting the democorps is gone. Scything touch is very nice

. The slayer moves into the forest to block a trample of the jugger. The Banes and gaspy position themselves behind it. The skarlock also moves around the terrain, but casts nothing. Finally my right pistolwraith decides it is time to come out of the shadows and shoots at the last manhunter. The first shot hits and does a few points. the second shot misses... Byebye pistolwraith..
Turn 4
Opponent: He gives 3 focus to the jugger, intending to wreck the slayer. He then moves vlad toward the left node and kills it after cating blood of kings. the destroyer and the kovnik don't do anything but move around. The Manhunter kills the pistolwraith in 1 blow. The jugger then walks to the slayer (I was withing 2,5 inch..doh..) He start hitting the slayer, but it only loses it's left arm. It has 5 or 6 damageboxes remaining.
Me: I give 3 focus to the slayer and give 1 to the rightnode. I keep the rest. Skarlock moves first and casts scything toch on the slayer. The slayer starts wrecking the jugger. After it is done the thing has about 10 boxes left. 2 of the banes can reach the jugger with a charge and they finish the job. The right node runs to the left and I arc a Boosted to hit hellfire through it to vlad. It hits and vlad and a boosted damage gets 7 damageboxes down for vlad. The mechthralls run to surround him, preventing him from running away again. The witch charges the destroyer in a suicidal attempt to stall it. She hits and the destroyer is shadowbound. The pistolwraith goes back into shadows and runs past the destroyer and kovnik, so he can get backstrikes next round.
Turn 5
Opponent: He sees a pretty hopeless situation, but contineus the fight. Vlad casts BoK and takes out 4 out of 6 mechthralls surrounding him. The manhunter takes out the siren. Kovnik and the destroyer do nothing.
Me: How to finish this. The slayer can't reach Vlad and the mechs can't hit. I reference throws and decide to throw a bane towards vlad to try and knock him down. To do this I give the slayer a focus and keep the rest. The throw succeeds, but the deviation takes it off vlad and into a mechthrall, killing 2 of my own models in 1 swoop. Then I think Parasite and Breath of corruption. The node is about 2,5 inch away from Vlad so the deviation will always hit. I cast a boosted parasite first. It hits. I then use the 2 focus left to cast scything touch on the banes (have to use them for something

) and feat. I then cats 2
BoC on vlad. the first one hits naturally with an eleven. This kills 2 thralls and brings Vlad down to 3 boxes after a boosted damageroll. The second one deviates mildly, but takes vlad down to 0 health with a good damageroll.
Victory for cryx
I really have to play a bit more carefull. I was luckky I could neutralize beast so well. Then again he did not really have a good choiche, only 2 bad ones. Move up and be crushed by scraps, or stay still and get chilled. Both where bad.. All in all I had a very enyoyable game and we both had fun. especiall the throw and
BoC made us both laugh, as I was killing almost as many models in my turn as he did in his
