Update: I now live in seattle and have a goblin army. I am starting to build an Eldar army. Hopefully my schedule clears up sometime so I can actually get a game in.

I've actually found that the basic Space Marine codex is a little more true to form: Bikes, terminator armor, technical prowess, arrogance. Just seems a little more fitting. The gaps are easier to bridge.
