Some tournaments now specify that either player can request that both players use the same dice.

Players who use different dice for LD tests than they do for everything else is a warning sign, though not conclusive.

If you see highly improbable rolls through an entire game, it's well worth talking to the organizers and asking them to check out the dice. They can roll the dice themselves to see if they show an unusual pattern. The other easy test is to drop them in a bucket or glass of water, and see if they consistently tumble to land with one side facing up. I remember hearing that the organizers had done the bucket test at a GT in Seattle a few years ago and kicked someone out.
