Personally, I think armored sentinels are a waste of points and that you are better off with scout sentinels. that said i also hate the open topped sentinel model so i can't really disagree to much...

Granted this sounds great, what you need to stop and think is that most of these shoots will come in bulk. I mean its not like your firing off two shoots at a time from your auto cannons. At 1850 the bulk of your armour is light and easy to kill. On top of that your lacking in range with any type of str weapon.



Positive comments

I would add the astro path and drop the sents to scounts. That way you can out flank for rear or side armour shoots on the enemy. That way you can attempt to handle heavy armouned vehciles. Over all this slit change would more than make up for the anti tank that your lacking in. I would take this list on this build if you ran the scout sents and astropath.

Of course, like your list, the question is "why?" The above list I just put out has about the firepower to take down a tac squad a turn. That's right, about 8% of their list per turn. Woot. Against horde armies, assuming they never get cover (which is, of course, absurd), you're taking about 7% of their points down.

I mean, against a DE raider spam army, this list would RULE, but against everything else, it's doing loltastically poor damage. This is a perfect example of my assertion that heavy weapons (especially autocannons) are expensive for what they do. Yes, you're nailing up to 30 GEq's a turn, but at this points level, that simply doesn't matter.

Yes He can. 16 Meltaguns. Those will mess a Monolith up. Trust me, I've seen it happen.

Monoliths have a load of special rules mate - one of which is, no 2D6 penetration rolls, only one dice. So you'd be using meltaguns to glance on a 6, then destroy on a 6 (AP1).
