I have a question about champion armor I want to know the correct name for the extended part at the top of the shoulder pad the part that has the rivets on it is that supposed to be for more protection or to make the armor look cooler? Ive always just called it the shoulder deflector and this sounds stupid and it kills me because I dont know the correct name so I want to know if it has a specific name or something or is it something thats just there?

I'm not sure if there really is a name for the extra shoulder armour. Your best bet would be to look up some real medievil-era armour and see if they have the shoulder piece there.

Shoulderpad rim?
I've heard them called shoulderpad deflector too. Check out some Black library books on that.
