Don't be too worried about the washes, they are stupidly easy to use. You can hit 'em at full strength, or water slightly for a subtle effect and to be honest the washes are the best thing in the GW range! Your minis are crisp and tidy, and that's a very good start. Can't wait to see when you get your airbrush out on bigger minis.
I'll second that washing a model is not really that hard and the payoff is tremendous. If you're particularly worried about washing larger models or just want to hear someone talk about the basics, you can find tons of video tutorials to give you some ideas. Here's one example:
I think you'll really get a lot more out of that DP with some washing. I am working on some Word Bearer CSM at the moment and have a blast with the Badab Black.

Same as everyone else, washes would make your DP look that much better. I have to say from the pics, it looks like you really know how to lay paint on nicely. Looking good man, my very first CSM army was Word Bearers
WOW! Really looks great! Mine are much more 'dirty' looking. I've done a whole 6 word bearers guys for my CSM army, and I'm loving them a lot. I like the use of black. I might do it too.
What's your scheme though? word bearers can go all over the place, thanks to GW making like 5 differerent reds
I use: Mechrite drybrushed over black>>Scab Red drybrushed over that.
What I do though....Is I paint the metals after I wash them. It looks really good. Try that if you're up to it
Good work, everyone here has basically covered everything.
One tip I have is to always get your finger and just run it along the base after you've finished basing, particularly if your using sand as you have some on the edge of the base in the terminator.
your painting? Good. The airgun? Bad. Dont buy it. I like you models, for being gone for 8 yrs, its look like you had no problems picking the hobby back up
