That's a heavy hitting list there. It's too bad Beastmen are limited in the number of Minotaurs they can take, it would be a very cool looking table with two armies of monstrous infantry facing off

There's a reason that the stubborn crown is in a huge number of ogre lists (including my own) - I'd personally swap the greyback pelt for it. Hard-to-hit shenanigans on a T6 6/5+ save (with reroll) tyrant is one thing, stubborn 9 is a whole 'nother one
Good luck vs the rats.

Here was a 3K Lord/Hero loadout I thought was solid:
Tyrant
Heavy Armor, Talisman of Preservation, Enchanted Shield, Crown of Command, Gold Sigil Sword, Luck-Gnoblar
[311]
Slaughtermaster
Talisman of Endurance, Dispel Scroll, Luck Gnoblar, Healing Potion
[295]
Hero:
Bruiser
Battle Standard Bearer, Armor of Destiny, Longsword, Luck-Gnoblar
[213]
Also, Slave Giants? Ew. No. Toss those, they are awful. Pick up a pair of ~40 Gnoblars and a pair of Scraplaunchers. Those are deadly as hell now!
Ironguts are too expensive, imo. More Bulls do just as well and in larger units, they get sickeningly deadly. Some folks argue for MSU, but I think two fat hordes of Bulls are absurdly lethal.
Just something to think about.

@Kroot Loops: you do realise i am facing Skaven?
@ em_en_o_pee: I am getting more bulls and i totally agree that more bulls>ironguts, but this is currently all i have
as soon as my scrappies get in i will start using them instead of giants.
i also like my giants and they do pretty good in pairs.
the Crown of Command is nice, but if ogres are having to take Ld tests for lost combats, especially against low quality infantry, i think we have already lost. it is a good idea though

You do realise it was a 'wouldn't it be cool if' moment and not a comment about Skaven

Slavegiants are actually really useful. Many Ogre Generals run 2 up the flanks, they are 30 less points then most giants due to lack of Stubborn. Thunderstop now helps them more and the best thing about them is they tend to soak up some shooting and magic that is not being focused on your real threat, your ogres. But I would agree Scrappies are our new MVP.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Part of me agrees with you, and that part of me wants to run a tenderizer tyrant all the time instead of wasting points on stubborn. But another part of me knows that getting combo-charged and then flanked by numerous enemy blocks into one of my only two killer units means that stubborn is going to be really useful, really quick. Also after 5 years of playing ogres I find that against things that are really nasty on the charge - cavalry, hatred things - I can be pretty sure they will get the charge, not the other way around. Stubborn means I can absorb the charge and then break their backs next turn, rather than breaking and losing my ultra-uber-important tyrant. On the subject of bulls vs ironguts, I keep hearing how awesome bulls are but I'm really not finding that it plays out. I run a bullstar and a gutstar and the bulls still suck at hitting and wounding, just like in 7th, while the ironguts may suck at hitting but rock at wounding, just like in 7th. I can definitely see a horde of naked bulls being utterly brutal, but that's well beyond my model range at the moment - Salvage

Just wanted to comment, he's running a bit of an MSU list so getting flanked out shouldn't be too much of a problem, though I could be wrong, he should be able to take the enemy units 1-1 or more and even if someone starts to gang up on him he should be able to bring in some support quick enough.
