After reading the thread about Abaddon's daemon weapon I was drawn to the entry for the Tzeentch daemon weapon, the Deathscreamer. The codex says that all daemon weapons confer +D6 attacks, and have another effect in addition to this, granted by the chaos mark of the model (if it has one). Does this mean you can fire D6 Deathscreamer shots in the shooting phase then assault and have another base+D6 power weapon attacks? This is how I read it, and it seems pretty damn amazing.

Yes, that is so.
Gives twice the chance of killing yourself though.

Correction
You have d6 str 4 ap 3 shots (unless a 1 is rolled) and/or(( 'or' being if you roll a "1" for the shooting attack)) d6 str 4 -Power weapon attacks (unless you roll a "one")
Blissgiver is the best of the 4 (unless you go unmarked) IMO, but as your question was a "rule" question not a tactica queston....
Yes, and even if you roll a "one" for shooting, you may still assault and roll your D6 attacks in close combat (but as stated, a second 1 would result in a second invul save!)

I agree the instant death is nice, but a Chaos lord with the Deathscreamer could potentially take out 12+ MEQs each turn. Pretty nice, but it's not like 1k sons are lacking for AP3 in any case.

I don't see how that is a correction. Ordo only asked if you could fire it and assault in the same turn. Anyway, I think the nurgle DW seems like the most interesting, ripping up MeQ and monsters alike. (Of course, I'm a sucker for nurgle too...)

major advantage I have found with the Blissy is that its hitting at I 6 and EXTREMELY cheap compared to the other ones. But again, this is all hypothetical, if you really want competitive, you should be taking two Lash DPs anywho....

It is very similar to the Khorn Demon Weapon. You have the chance to deal a murderous number of attacks, but you have more of a chance to kill yourself as well.
(side note)
The nurgle weapon is mostly better than the unmarked demon weapon. Unmarked against T4 is a 3+ where Nurge is a 4+ reroll. T5 with the unmarked is a 4+, same for the Nurgle. Higher than that the nurgle weapon is better. The Unmarked is only better fighting against T3 or lower.

3+ is worse than TL 4+ though. The unmarked is only better when you dont want the mark costs.

At that point you are MUCH better off going with Bliss giver, and pretty much better off with Death Screamer then unmarked, (Blissgiver is +1 init, each wound causes ID for 5 points more then Unmarked, granted DS is 15 points more, but it gives you the improved save and D6 S4 AP3 shots that are hitting on 2 and wounding on 3s)

Exactly. The entry for both daemon weapon and Deathscreamer are seperate entries including a specific profile for when it is used as a ranged weapon and when it is used as a close combat weapon.
