I've been playing for a while with my 750 point eldar army and i've been
thinking about a new list so i chatted to other war gamers in my area
(none of whom are eldar) to get an idea of what to get and this is what
we came up with:

Doom
Eldrich storm
Spirit stones
Mind War
140

Farseer
Fortune
Sining Spear
Mind War
105

Warlocks 5
Spirit Seer
Destructor x3
Enhance
176

Elites
Fire Dragons 6
Exarch w/ firepike and tank hunters
Falcon w/ scatter laser, spirit stones, hol fields
306

Howling banshees 10
Exarch w/ executioner and warshout
Wave Serpant w/ tl missile launcher and spirit stones
317

Troops
Gardians w/ Missile launcher 10
Warlock w/ enhance, destructor
150

Dire Avengers 10
Exarch w/ power weapon and simmer shield, defend
Wave Serpant w/ tl Scatter lasers, spirit stones
287

Rangers 5
Pathfinders
120

Rangers 5
Pathfinders
120

Heavy Support
Wraithlord w/ wraith sword and bright lance
140

War walker w/ bright lance and shuriken cannon
War walker w/ star cannon and scatter laser

1996

Please comment, i'd like to know whether it's good or not, i am still
very new to the game and haven't experimented a lot with different
units so any help appreciated.
Thanks

Your list needs a lot of work, here are a few things to think about.

Your farseers are messed up. In large games you should take runes of warding, 15 points for one of the best psychic defenses is awesome. Second, eldritch storm is awful, if you want a shooting power take mindwar for sniping, but guide, fortune and doom are the best powers (re rolls are awesome). You should only ever take as many powers as you can cast to avoid bloating.

Warlock squads need to be big, they need enhane and embolden, and they need either jetbikes or a waveserpent. Otherwise you are better off with storm guardians for templates or dragons for anti tank.

Don't let transport capacity fool you. Falcons are awful transports for dragons. Falcons should be taken with an eml, a squad of 5 avengers and a guide seer with warding, and it should capture an objective and bring all its guns to bare. Put your dragons in waveserpents, which are cheaper, can fire at full effectiveness (twin linked too) while moving 12 inches, and have special rules against close range anti tank.

On banshees acrobatic is better than warshout if you are only taking one.

Your gus are priced wrong, that build should be 130 points. also, embolden is a better power to keep them on the board after casualties. They should be trying to avoid close range anyway. Second, 10 storm guardians with 2 flamers and a warlock with destrucor in a wave serpent are far better than guardian defenders.

Dire avenger exarch should only take 2 shuri cats and bladestorm. Avengers are rubbish in cc.

I would drop the wraithlord and falcon to free up more points for wave serpents

Only take one weapon on warwalkers, so their shots are never wasted. Most people here prefer scatters, a few (me included) swear by shuri cannons, and emls are ok as well.

Never ever take starcannons. With cover as common as it is, and the huge premium we pay for ap2... The gun got nerfed hardcore.

Good luck!

On your Farseer why you got three psychic powers? You can only use two at a time. I would drop the one you don't use that much.

Farseer with the singing spear should have spirit stones so can use both psychic powers a turn.

You don't need fire pike and tank hunters as meltas have +1 on the damage table. Fire pike you don't need because you're inside a transport and need all the other meltas in range, no point firing one from a distance and not firing the others. Also, they would be better in a Serpent as Dragons attract a lot of attention.

Banshees cannot charge from a Serpent so a opponent will just move away from you next turn and it's a cat and mouse game.

Avengers don't need a power weapon. Best keep them as shooting really.

Take Wraithlords in pairs for unit redundancy. No need for starcannons as mentioned before me.

Mercer and Akaean pretty much covered everything, but to throw in my 2 cents:

Eldar1995 wrote:

Eldrich Storm is worthless. I'd drop that and Mind War and add Guide. You may consider changing this out for Eldrad. An additional power is pretty nice.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Farseer: Fortune, Sining Spear, Mind War

Drop Mind War, especially if you're taking a Spear. No need to have 3 shooting attacks available to him. You should find some way to add Runes of Warding to this.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Warlocks 5: Spirit Seer, Destructor x3, Enhance

Spirit Seer is a waste. You can keep the Wraithlord within 6" of a phyker and even if you don't, there's only a 1/6 chance he'll be useless for a turn. As others have said, you need to either put these on jetbikes (and a bike for their Farseer) or in a WS. Consider taking more of them, sprinkle around a spear or two, and take Embolden.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Fire Dragons 6 Exarch w/ firepike and tank hunters

This is overkill. The firepike isn't needed (you have 5 other melta weapons in the squad) and tank hunters is a waste of points. You already have a 50% chance of killing a vehicle per hit (assuming penetrating), no need to increase that further. I'd consider dropping the Exarch entirely, a squad of 5 Dragons should be enough to take out a tank reliably.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Falcon w/ scatter laser, spirit stones, hol fields

I prefer a WS for the Dragons, but Falcon can work too. I also prefer a Brightlance on the Falcon, so all of it's shots can be anti-tank rather than limited to armor 11ish.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Howling banshees 10; Exarch w/ executioner and warshout; Wave Serpant w/ tl missile launcher and spirit stones

I'm not a fan of Banshees, they tend to do well against MeQ, but I've found Scorpions are better against anything else. Other's thoughts?
Also, Warshout isn't needed. It's only at it's best against WS4 or better squads with low leadership and there aren't many of those. If you have extra points, take it, but I wouldn't if you have something else.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Gardians w/ Missile launcher 10; Warlock w/ enhance, destructor

I like Defender Guardians but not many others do. This is how I recommend taking them, but you have to drop enhance. A warlock can only have 1 power.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Dire Avengers 10 Exarch w/ power weapon and simmer shield, defend Wave Serpant w/ tl Scatter lasers, spirit stones

Solid choice. You'll get a lot of use out of them. But, change the exarch to dual-catapults and bladestorm. Avengers need to shoot down an enemy, not assault it down.

Eldar1995 wrote:
2x Rangers 5 Pathfinders

These can be handy with just sitting on an objective in cover and shooting what they can. Be careful not to infiltrate them too far. They can get wiped out in CC pretty easily. You may want to drop to 1 squad if you need the points.

Eldar1995 wrote:
Wraithlord w/ wraith sword and bright lance

Ah, the Wraithlord. I love this guy. However, I don't know how well he'll fit into the rest of your army. You're leaning heavily mobile and he's going to be left behind by everyone else and unlikely to get into assaults to take advantage of his sword. Try him out, but be prepared to drop him if needed.

Eldar1995 wrote:
War walker w/ bright lance and shuriken cannon

As already said, take all of the same weapon. Also, try and bump them up to 3 if you can. Think about if you'll be outflanking with them or not and how you'll want to use them on the field.

Overall, I like your army. You've got some good choices here, but it could stand to be optimized. I'd recommend playtesting a game or two before you buy everything using 2x Fire Prism in place of the Falcon and Wraithlord. They're pretty popular right now, and for good reason.
