I don't think so, at least none where they are the protagonists anyway, there are plenty about them being shot at/killed/other way of dying.

Fear the alien, is about orks I think.
There is qute a good comic book also, called Blood and Thunder. Its from the perspective of a captured IG colonel though but its full of hilarious Ork banter.

Awesome. The book doesnt have to be ALL about Orks. If they are the main bad guy that would be fine too. I dont care if they end up losing, but if they are a big part of the book would be fine. Im sure itd be annoying for a writer to write abook in full Ork

Fear the Alien is an anthology collecting short stories mostly about the Imperium fighting various kinds of xenos. You will be pleased to note, KingC, that it contains the first story to be told from the Ork point of view.

The best place to start with BL is the big anthology Let the Galaxy Burn, which has something for everybody. Some of those stories are really good and I've read them many times.

15 hours is a novel mostly about fighting orks.
Gunheads is as well.

Let The Galaxy Burn is a good one. It was the first 40k book I read and contributed greatly to my vision of the 40k universe.

Also, the Dawn of War series features Orks here and there and the second Salamanders book has an awesome battle at the end where they're besieged by Orks.

Edit: Gary Oldman is awesome.

Going to have to counter-recommend the DoW books for anyone new to BL. I think you'll find that C. S. Goto is nearly universally reviled and that's not just because it's the cool thing to do. In other news, the Ciaphas Cain novels are pretty entertaining and not so GrimDark. Pick up the (first) omnibus for the best deal. I believe he even (tangentially) fights orks in one of the novels collected therein.

He saves a planet from an ork invasion, in one of the last books. Caiaphas Cain are my favorite 40k books.

It's been awhile but I remember reading the Space Wolfs omnibus and I remeber one of the books being mainly about fighting some orks and Ragnar stealing one of their vehicles and ending up getting in a drag race with some....sorry can't remember the particular books name. But, it was a good one.

The ork story in "Fear the Alien" isn't totally from the orks POV.

Maybe have a look at either "Helsreach" or "Rynn's World" both of which feature orks as the bad guys.
